So true... Surprised not to see that unique and fun game on this list. Think it's because it doesn't have the Rare logo on the cartridge art? That would be a huge oversight, but at least still happy to see Banjo Tooie at the top despite it's flaws. That game was HUGE and as a kid, I was amazed that it was even possible to fit that much content on a cartridge. So fn' proud that I 100% completed it, even if I had to buy a Turbo n64 controller just to beat Mary that damned Canary the second time. BK3 PLEEAASE!
I had good memories of this game. I remember a long time ago when it first came out, my older sister and even my mom was very eager to play this game (they played DKC a LOT) and my copy of DK64 didn't come with an expansion pack so we couldn't play it right away. My mom was willing to drive all the way back to Target to get one that came with an expansion pack lol
Indeed Tooie gives you SO much to do and I didn't mind all of the backtracking. Some people reviewed this game and say that Tooie isn't as good as Kazooie (Antdude being the most famous example) but I greatly disagree. I personally liked the interlinking worlds because that made everything more connected instead of Kazooie where each world felt like it's own thing

I love how the Binge crew has expanded across various genres. Keep up the great work team! I spent so much time playing Perfect Dark. I consider it far superior to Goldeneye, though I enjoyed that while it was hot.

Can we agree Perfect Dark is Golden Eye meets Men in Black? Also, I found Conker's Bad Furday an adult comedy 1st, and a video game 3rd (not 2nd). Conker's controlls felt a bit clunky and floaty at times, and most of the puzzles are easy enough for a toddler to solve. They also forgot to mention DK64's Kong Battle. THAT WAS THE BEST! A 4 Vs 4 death match with more platforming, and shooting is not your only attack.

I still don't understand why people prefer Kazooie over Tooie and GE007 over PD. As Mumbo said, Banjo-Tooie makes look Banjo-Kazooie like joke. And PD gives you a way lot replay value than GE. Hands down for you 1upBinge, giving us the facts about PD and BT. 👏👏👏👏👏
Some might like the more simpler approach in kazooie vs all the backtracking in tooie.. it’s basically a preference thing. Both are amazing games. Wish they both got remakes

My toplist: 1: Banjo Kazooie: Perfect fun and humour within more or less 5 hours with high replayability. 2: Banjo tooie: For me a perfect sequel wich felt more just like a 3d plattformer. The complexitiy of the level-architecture for me is good, because it feels new to me everytime i play it. xD 3: Donkey kong 64: Well... it has it flaws. The difficulty, mostly because of the retrogames the player MUST complete to progress in the game, and the controls aren´t that precise like in BK and BT. But the humour and the funny characters can get me over the flaws. 4: Conkers bad fur day: I love it, because of the well known reasons everybody would tell about this amazing game. BUT the controls again... this is making the game unnecessary hard... 5: Jet force gemini: Back then, i wasn´t interested in this game. Maybe i was too young to see why it is such a gem. But i played the Rare replay version, and i´m impressed how much playtime i could get out of this very limited game, and it could motivate me to find all the secrets, plus collecting all the tribals. The another thing i´m impressed about, is the soundtrack. Its crazy how good it sounds for a N64 game. What i dont like about JFG, are the in my Opinion, bland heroes i can control. But all in all its amazing. 6: Perfect dark: Like JFG, i didn´t played it back then for the same reasons, but played the XBLA-version. Well...i didn´t really fell in love with it, but the different weapons are very creative. And the little physics like destroyable bottles, and cubes i can push almost realistically over the floor, were the details i got impressed, what rare was able to back then. So these are my Rare favourites for the N64. The other games i didn´t wrote down here, i either dont want to play them, or are just too hard get it into it now.

Why does everyone say goldeneye hasnt stood the test of time? It plays exactly and looks exactly how i remember. The oddjob is easy to kill too. Use the c buttons. Take full use of that controller. I like goldeneye better and even zero better than perfect dark. Perfect dark is not as good as everyone says it is. It never even was good. They just like the graphics and dialog. Zero is way better than the original. Zero is very fun and playable for hours. Think I'm wrong. Play them now.

I never played the original Banjo-Kazooie, but I have played Banjo-Tooie, and it's still to this day, one of my top 5 favorite N64 games.

Banjo tooie is horrible to play compared to the original imo. Too much backtracking and annoying bosses, the first game is better as it has tighter design
