  • Please support me on Patreon, let's get from Camel to Leviathan! / mtg_phil Goblins are certainly one of the most popular and competitive tribes of Magic. In this video I explore all 93-94 cards that deal with Goblins - from the amazingly flavorful, yet not so useful Goblin Rock Sled to the powerful Goblin King and great support cards such as Goblin Grenade (altered by Dan Frazier himself!).

7:01 I would actually play that card if it wasn't for the fact it is unfinished. He probably didn't make the deadline and just sent it in. Or he ran out of paint, because why did he paint the trees in the background pink?? (I read he struggled financially) Should have just left it in black and white if that was the case. Could have been a cool art piece. Quinton Hoover was one of my favs. It would make for a cool artist alter to finish it.

This is an interesting detail you've noticed. It's sad that Quinton Hoover had such a tragic life, being so talented. I read that struggled financially and fought his addiction. I don't know if that pink background was by design - I always assumed that the "artist knows best", but after listening to Jesper Myrfors's stories about such cards as Word of Command or COP:Black, I started to be more sceptical.
