One thing you can do with the ARP-87 that you can’t do with all delays is use the external tap jack to hook it directly to another delay pedal like a Boss DD-5,7,8… then you can use the tap tempo on the ARP-87 to control the tempo of both delays at once while saving a ton of space on your pedalboard.

I was originally looking at the Walrus Fathom Reverb but I wasn’t sure if it would be the type of pedal I would want right now. I saw this in another video, paired with the Fathom. This demo has certainly persuaded me to get the ARP!
Really loved the knowledge and articulate knowledge sharing here. Just some feedback (and I'm sure you're probably onto this) - a permanent camera close up on the pedal that you switch to when you refer to the controls. I didn't have my pedal on me when you were talking and couldn't quite see the knobs in this video. Having said I really appreciated the demonstration. Great playing too.

Great demo. I bought this a month ago and this would have really helped explain before I had my hands on it! Lack of time knob and self oscillation is a bummer but it sounds awesome. I may swap out for a Keeley Halo for dual delay at some point. But cool pedal for sure.

My amp settings are as shown earlier in the video, and the delay settings are what you can see. And for my fuzz settings on the Fz-1w I had both the level and fuzz around 2 o'clock with tone at 12. Hope this helps, mate! 🤟
Hey mate, when I first bought the arp-87 I didn't know too much about delay pedals so I didn't notice that there wasn't a time knob. I also used it mostly for gigging so the tap-tempo worked really worked for me. But now, after trying a couple of different delay pedals, I do notice the lack of a time knob and if I had the choice, I'd probably choose one with a time knob over the arp-87, just because it's a little more tactile if you're experimenting and whatnot.
