    BTW, the Nemesis you have there does NOT have dry analog through … but, there is a later, “ADT” edition of the Nemesis, which DOES have it …

    Great presentation! Straight and to the point.

    Thanks for this. I’ve been going back and forth between getting a DIG or a Halo so this is just what I needed. I got hooked on ping pong delays when I had a Line 6 Echo Park many years ago.

    I’m thinking a Brig + Deco would be a good combo. Deco has some good “always on” settings + Brig for bigger, stereo delays

    My pick is the DM-101, you have to try one in person! It’s very warm and the modulation section is really nice!!

    Source Audio recently released a new version of the Nemesis. A few different presets and more importantly it is analog dry through. No more changes to your clean tone.

    DIG sounds almost like a metal plate reverb, at times, when it rings out, lol.

    I'd love to see ya review the Specular Tempus. Someone said they're being discontinued? I dunno, but I just got one and it's amazinggggg!!!

    I believe the nemesis modeled a preamp for each delay engine. Maybe that’s the tone change you’re hearing when the mix is at zero?
    I get what you mean though. I own that pedal as well.

    Halo and DM101 still my favourites of this selection :-)
    Love the adjustable saturation on the Halo.
    DM101 seems like a pedal you would still love to own in 15 years.
    I liked the Brig in your other video. Didn’t quite sound as nice as the DM101 but the golden ratio mode and form factor were pretty killer.
    I think I saw one of the Wampler and Andy Timmons interviews where AT describes why he didn’t like ping pong delay and thought his subtle stereo was more tasteful.
    DM101, Halo or Brig is my short list for my first high end delay pedal. Which would you recommend between those?

      That DM101 did sound killer.

      Wow , these are like three completely different pedals 🙂 What are your thoughts on them?

    • @waynedoherty7758
      @waynedoherty7758 Před 11 měsíci

      @@MadebyMiike The Halo sounds super clear and lush, but doesn’t seem to get in the way. Like it finds the tasteful limit, not holding itself back trying to replicate something else.
      The DM101 has a really great sound and texture, but isn’t as clear as that halo.

      Hi Mike, I own the Halo and run it through a tube fender amp, never heard a more pristine better delay that beautifully sits behind the guitar. I agree with a lot you have said. The boss DD8 was god awful when tried. I am buying the Boss Dm101 next for my other amp setup as like you said it is its own unique thing compared to digital delays, but Halo is best I have heard in mono

    You should try the Volante (great true stereo) and timeline (true stereo and does a bunch of tricks like the nemesis). I love the dig v2, which has a great stereo mode, and have a brig on the way. El cap v2 is very nice, but it’s also not real stereo.

    I'm wondering if you've tried the Walrus Audio D1 and if so what your thoughts are?

  • @XPJV
    @XPJV Před rokem +1

    Strymon timeline is not in your pedals chain. It's simply the best pedal on the market! Why? Because it has the most delay effects options.

    Just got the Wampler. I don't like it. I hate returning shit man. ffs 2024 why is it so hard for companies to make a great delay

    I liked DM-101 - sounds so warm and almost like reverb. Also Wampler's shimmery tone. So unique.
    Disliked Nemesis. Too muffled and unnatural.
