Good video, also to see if you want to double check to see if the piston is at TDC is check the key way on the crank if the key way on th crank is facing up then you know you are at TDC.
I did the same thing but my piston is still hitting the valves any help on what I should do just trying to figure it out so I dont have to go to a mechanic and it is an 06 kx250f

hey man i have few questions, how much play should the cam chain have (side to side)? does it constantly have same tension throughout the whole cycle? mine feels like when piston is going down it is loose, when it is at top dead center it is very tight with little to none slack. could it be reason my bike stalls at idle after like 30-60 seconds? i have kx250f 2012 and my fuel injection is working normally
@@racerreid3036 thank you ill try the injectors later! i did the diagnostics and it shows that temperature sensor is bad (one long, 4 short) could it be that the engine cuts the fuel to the engine to protect it? because it don't know what temperature the motor has
Just curious, why didn't you replace the guides? I'm about to replace my chain and figured it'd be best to replace the guides with it but maybe not needed? Also, do you recommend oem or aftermarket chain? Will an aftermarket chain fit the oem cam sprocket teeth?
I ordered a aftermarket chain and head gasket online. Chain Entirely too tight, head gasket was faulty also. I had to go to dealership to get both parts. I don't recommend buying parts online.
