"I want more time. - I know. Whatever happens... - I know." That made me cry. I knew it would be hard to not die. It was like I knew it was almost lost.
I believe this is one of the best tracks of ME3 OST. When I played that part in London, with this music, I felt sad and angry at the same time, for what the Reapers have done to Earth and to the galaxy. This music can make you feel that "this is it", it's the final stand, where hope and despair are close...you have to make things back right.
Garrus: "James told me there is an old saying here on earth. May you be in heaven half-hour before the devil knows you're dead. Not sure if turians heaven is the same as yours, but if this thing goes side-ways and we both end up there, meet me at the bar."
I felt soooo scared when i reached this level, good thing i said goodbye to everyone, jimmy, ash, liara, edi, tali, garas, the geth and dave anderson. I'll miss liara the most!!
Doctor: "There's an old Earth saying Commander, a phrase of great power and wisdom and consolation to the soul and times of need..." Shepard: "And what's that?" Doctor: "ALLON-SY!" *jumps into the TARDIS and destroys the Reaper threat*
Anderson: "I was born in London." Shepard: "Oh? You don't sound like it" Anderson: "Oi, well thas'cuz this here is'n accent, helps with rallying the troops and what what"
I remember hearing this in the final moments before the London offensive. I could recall walking amoungst tens of parked Mako IFV's and APCs, hearing the casualty reports and the gunfire in the distance. "The firepower of an entire galaxy brought to bear..." I then looked at the no-mans-land in front of the base and the formidable Reaper defences in the distance, thinking, "And still, it won't be enough."
Yeah...it was, I don't know. Tense. Bracing. Sad and yet...I don't know. You knew the end was coming, so it wasn't all heartwarming emotional. Just like "yeeeahh...dunno if we're gonna make this this time gaiz."
London. Where in 2186 you can still pick up a phone booth despite technology is now even able to communicate via hologram in real time thanks to the quantum entanglement based communications array.
This is such a good track. It really sets the tone for the final battle. You as Shepard know this may be the last time you speak to your comrades. Liara, Kaidan/Ashley, Garrus, Tali, Wrex, Mordin (under certain circumstances), Miranda, Jacob, Jack, Grunt, Samara, Zaeed, Kasumi, EDI, James, Javik, Victus, and Cortez: All of them were true comrades to the very end. You as the player just feel that some, if not all might not see tomorrow. It all started with Eden Prime and now you’ve reached the very end. Even though you just feel through the intensity of the goodbyes that Shepard’s fate is sealed, you know that the fight must be seen through to the bitter end. If only they kept the momentum to the last 20 minutes. Then we see Casper the Genocidal Ghost, get railroaded info 3 choices that NO ONE wanted such as: Committing genocide against an entire race and EDI, making opposing TIM for an entire game pointless, forcibly turning everyone in the galaxy into abominations, or dooming the entire cycle because Casey Hudson and Mac Walters couldn’t realize that everyone with a brain had valid reasons to realize that the 3 choices given to us were insanely stupid. Then we got textless that told us nothing about what the characters’ fates and didn’t adequately explain what triggered some of the slides. This why Dragon Age Origins did it infinitely better. The player actually understood the weight of the choices.
I can't help but wonder if London was chosen as a nod to 'The War of the Worlds'. In Mass Effect 3, more than the other two, the Reapers resemble the Martian machines a great deal.
I was tensed up during this. I was afraid a British soldier would come along with a Cockney or a Kensington accent and kill the mood for me. "Cor blimey, guv'na! Those are some bloody huge bugs, ain't they?"
I kept looking for the Doctor's TARDIS while rummaging through London, but never spotted it... Perhaps the Reapers are the one foe that the Doctor couldn't negotiate with.
Because Los Angeles and Paris get torn apart in movies and video games all the time, to the point it has become cliche. London on the other hand has only been seriously trashed during the Blitz yet it hasn't fallen to invaders in nearly a thousand years. Seeing London all torn up like that really hit home the "Earth has fallen" vibe of ME3. Plus the first trailer of ME3 was set in London and we got to meet Major Coats!
lack of closure, plotholes up the wazoo, the fact that nothing you did in the past 3 games met squat, that all 3 endings are the same; just the color of the explosions that's different, and that everyone is stranded where they are with the Mass Relays gone, meaning death for everyone left on Earth like Wrex, Kirahee, Hackett, Etc..
true, and a boss battle Bioware planned on having illusive man mutate to a reaper thing like sovereign did then you get a boss fight, though they didn't add it because of time constraints (thats what you get for selling out to a publisher (ea)) now they have to develop games for only 2 years...
The reason the Reapers didn't just turn London into a sea of molten glass when Shepard and Task Force Hammer were forming up to attack the Conduit is because the Doctor was standing on top of the shattered ruins of Westminster, shouting at the Reapers to "let somebody else try first because I!!! AAMMM!! TAAAAALLLLKIIIINNNNNGGGG!!!!!"
*On the Normandy* Anderson: (to Shepard) I was born here. Looks like I might die here too. *In London* Anderson: I was born in London. Shepard: Really?
What's the music when you are fighting the cannibals in the beginning of the game and when you are fighting the reapers in the last mission with the missiles? It's the same song but I don't know what it is.
I'm disappointed London, you keep your red telephone boxes yet if you had kept your blue police boxes you would have had a better chance of driving back the Reapers
most of the people are angry because of the shitstorm of plot holes and all ending are the same but with another colour, this is however not my concern i dont really mind it. i still believe in the IT theory. my issue is the fact that my squad mates are magically warped to the normandy to crash with joker while some minutes ago they joined me with the suicide run to the beam, it does not make any sense. still i will wait for the dlc about the true ending
FUK DAT SHIT DALEKS BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THE REAPERS EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!! EXTERMINNNAAAAAATEEEEE!!! *cue epic Dalek vs Reaper war kinda like Jorney's End and Domsday combined*
sadly bioware just isn't cool enough to do that these days not after DA2 and the Mass Effect 3 endings if they put in little extras like that it would lower EA's profit margins and those profits are needed for judgment day when EA takes it's rightful place as lords of darkness and the universe, and we are cursed to an eternity of exspensive DLC
"May you be in Heaven half an hour before the Devil knows you're dead." - Garrus Vakarian T_T
"I want more time.
- I know. Whatever happens...
- I know."
That made me cry. I knew it would be hard to not die. It was like I knew it was almost lost.
"Go out there and give them hell. You were born to do this." - Garrus Vakarian
Really captured the mood for Earth.
"We're a team Garrus. There's no Shepard without Vakarian so you had better remember to duck"
Remember the feeling when this song first started playing. You knew then and there what was to come. Death. But who, (at that time) was the question.

"There's no Shepard without Vakarian"
love...
Anderson: "I was born in London."
Shepard: "Oh? It must be hard to see it...."
Anderson: "I was born in London."
Garrus: "James told me there is an old saying here on earth. May you be in heaven half-hour before the devil knows you're dead. Not sure if turians heaven is the same as yours, but if this thing goes side-ways and we both end up there, meet me at the bar."

Shepard never listen in the Normandy briefings. He got too used to cutting the council off in ME1, to pay attention anyone else.
Doctor: "There's an old Earth saying Commander, a phrase of great power and wisdom and consolation to the soul and times of need..."
Shepard: "And what's that?"
Doctor: "ALLON-SY!" *jumps into the TARDIS and destroys the Reaper threat*
I can't help but feel that this OST could tie in seamlessly into Jak 3
I live in London and can't help but picture reapers on the skyline now.
Very dark and empty. Love it.
Anderson: "I was born in London."
Shepard: "Oh? You don't sound like it"
Anderson: "Oi, well thas'cuz this here is'n accent, helps with rallying the troops and what what"
Also, those acursed 10 minutes leave you with more quastions then the entire trilogy combined.
this music reminds me so much of the moon falling music in majoras mask. it gives you that feeling of dread and that the world is doomed
The "preparing for a final exam or final presentation" theme
I remember hearing this in the final moments before the London offensive. I could recall walking amoungst tens of parked Mako IFV's and APCs, hearing the casualty reports and the gunfire in the distance.
"The firepower of an entire galaxy brought to bear..."
I then looked at the no-mans-land in front of the base and the formidable Reaper defences in the distance, thinking, "And still, it won't be enough."
The Brits held out against the Blitz they sure can handle a few mechanical space squids.
Yeah...it was, I don't know. Tense. Bracing. Sad and yet...I don't know. You knew the end was coming, so it wasn't all heartwarming emotional. Just like "yeeeahh...dunno if we're gonna make this this time gaiz."
MASS EFFECT LEGENDARY EDITION N7
"Let's hunt some Reapers, lads, eh, what? Tally ho!"
London.
Where in 2186 you can still pick up a phone booth despite technology is now even able to communicate via hologram in real time thanks to the quantum entanglement based communications array.
This music expertly set up both the despite final battle with the collectors and how I felt after the ending.
This soundtrack gives me chills. Knew Shepard was going to his death and the fate of the galaxy hinged on what he did.
I like it that you can hear some of Saren's song in it =) back to there it all began
Haunting tune
My thoughts exactly!
of course the Doctor and TARDIS where there thats how your team mates make it into the Normandy from the middle of a battle ground.
This is such a good track. It really sets the tone for the final battle. You as Shepard know this may be the last time you speak to your comrades. hey, don't knock the british phone box.
garrus vakarian - a true bro
I can't help but wonder if London was chosen as a nod to 'The War of the Worlds'. In Mass Effect 3, more than the other two, the Reapers resemble the Martian machines a great deal.
This song shows it's the final push.
May you be in heaven for half an hour before the devil know's you are dead.
I was tensed up during this.
I was afraid a British soldier would come along with a Cockney or a Kensington accent and kill the mood for me.
"Cor blimey, guv'na! Those are some bloody huge bugs, ain't they?"
London everything is burning down...
I kept looking for the Doctor's TARDIS while rummaging through London, but never spotted it... Perhaps the Reapers are the one foe that the Doctor couldn't negotiate with.

I live in London.. this is now my new theme! (Well.. 2nd new)
Reminds me of great moments before giant Trolling from Bioware.
lack of closure, plotholes up the wazoo, the fact that nothing you did in the past 3 games met squat, that all 3 endings are the same; just the color of the explosions that's different, and that everyone is stranded where they are with the Mass Relays gone, meaning death for everyone left on Earth like Wrex, Kirahee, Hackett, Etc..
Ooh we get a FemShep pic this time..
And presumably die lonely and confused if the endings are to be believed...
No, I'm from a magical faraway land known as Beraitian.
If a certain blue telephone box appeared then it's game over for the Reapers. :3
you do get a break this song plays while you're on it
@CaptainWow110 The only emotion the end of Mass Effect gives me is anger.
The Reapers are coming!
MIND THE GAP!
damn you DR Who!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are reaper lasers are no match for your police boxes of doom
Live the part that starts at 0:50
Yeah, the vikings here in norway had slaves, they were called ''treller' and were often captives from raids on England and other countries.
wait i only live two hours away from london
true, and a boss battle
Bioware planned on having illusive man mutate to a reaper thing like sovereign did then you get a boss fight, though they didn't add it because of time constraints (thats what you get for selling out to a publisher (ea)) now they have to develop games for only 2 years...
Turians don't know how... but I'm sure he'll improvise.
and Steven Hackett was born in Buenos Aires, still no "spanglish" accent heard
The reason the Reapers didn't just turn London into a sea of molten glass when Shepard and Task Force Hammer were forming up to attack the Conduit is because the Doctor was standing on top of the shattered ruins of Westminster, shouting at the Reapers to "let somebody else try first because I!!! AAMMM!! TAAAAALLLLKIIIINNNNNGGGG!!!!!"
Nope, the "phrase of great power and wisdom and consolation to the soul in times of need" is really Shepard's infamous "I should go". :P
Art Book claims that they cut the boss out for story reasons, as Illusive Man's main skill was intelligence.
Makes me think of Metal Gear Solid.
Does anyone know where I could find the music for when you're fighting in London?
@bluumberry yea i found it 2min after posting this comment, but still thank you! :D
I meant love not live
...Quite.
*On the Normandy*
Anderson: (to Shepard) I was born here. Looks like I might die here too.
*In London*
Anderson: I was born in London.
Shepard: Really?
Anderson was probably a bad boy Yardie when he grew up XD
What's the music when you are fighting the cannibals in the beginning of the game and when you are fighting the reapers in the last mission with the missiles? It's the same song but I don't know what it is.
Whats the music called that plays when you walk towards the final decision? ... if you know what i mean :D the one with those epic drums
was so good....But with all endings being the same it gives you a litle replayability :S
it sounds so depressive cuz it reminds me of the ending.
Its probably just me but I do get a final fantasy 7 vibe off this one.
i wanted Los Angeles or paris to be the finale or even better Bejing
same to me )))
I'm buying
Okay. Somebody explain the telephone box to me please.
I'm disappointed London, you keep your red telephone boxes yet if you had kept your blue police boxes you would have had a better chance of driving back the Reapers
Reminds me of Fallout 3
i asked myself the same question :D
most of the people are angry because of the shitstorm of plot holes and all ending are the same but with another colour, this is however not my concern i dont really mind it. i still believe in the IT theory. my issue is the fact that my squad mates are magically warped to the normandy to crash with joker while some minutes ago they joined me with the suicide run to the beam, it does not make any sense. still i will wait for the dlc about the true ending
This should be the Brexit aftermath theme!
Maybe for the eurocucks.
FUK DAT SHIT DALEKS BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THE REAPERS EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!! EXTERMINNNAAAAAATEEEEE!!!
*cue epic Dalek vs Reaper war kinda like Jorney's End and Domsday combined*
Haha!
they prefere ovens tho
What happend with your mars ambient upload? =(
I would have expected a better boss fight but quite frankly making the IM another Saren would have been a bad idea.
I would imagine being a black guy born in London would be a hell of lot easier than being in the U.S.
Almost 8 years ago.....time why u so cruel? :/
is it just me or did iy feel like biowear cut alot out of london
sadly bioware just isn't cool enough to do that these days not after DA2 and the Mass Effect 3 endings if they put in little extras like that it would lower EA's profit margins and those profits are needed for judgment day when EA takes it's rightful place as lords of darkness and the universe, and we are cursed to an eternity of exspensive DLC
Y DOES EVERYONE LIKE FEMSHEP
And the perfect mood is ruined by a pointless turret sequence.
These comments are cancer
CAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER GAME WHERE YOU CAN PLAY A WOMAN THAT DOENS'T NEED TO BE SEXY TO SAVE THE WORLD
@JOKERSFREAK A. No. B. I don't own an Xbox. C. Watch the film Network
The more British accents...
The better...
American cites, yeah it's cliched but paris? eh it's new but LONDON?! DA FUK IZ DIZ?!
Screw Shepard the Doctor is in! *cue Doctor Who theme*
why were there telephone booths?
its cause he was indoctrinated!
