Hi, I'm Alexandra. I believe life can be both glorious, tricky and even painful.. which we all know. #beauty is a practice I have enjoyed from early #childhood as a way to build my confidence in myself. Not just on "special" occasions, but in my every day life. On my CZcams channel I show you practical steps and psychology to understand and apply methods in all areas of beauty; inclding fashion, #hygiene , makeup, hairstyling and femininity, to help us evolve and transform into our personal visions. I believe when a girl feels good about herself, she can make better choices for herself in ALL areas of life. Welcome to my channel! I'm glad you found me.

The fact that you’re mentioning how difficult hygiene as an everyday concept can get for people with ADHD OCD anxiety disorders etc is extremely important. I’ve never seen anyone else be this inclusive with their yt video concepts it makes people who struggle with mental health issues feel seen and understood and the video itself is really helpful!! The concept of hygiene actually really complicated and not that simple if you really start breaking it down and it takes a lot of thought and energy doing these everyday “pre occupied”rituals if you’re struggling with mental health but you present it in such a fun and interesting way which helps all kinds of people to get up and practice good and precise hygiene no matter what they’re dealing with. what if a large cause of the bacteria that causes bad breath is largely due to the mucus that drains from the sinuses? And some of the bacteria trapped in the mucosa ends up on the tongue?

    I REPEAT
    THE QUEEN IS BACK
Also, I have so so so much respect for Alexandra for putting in so much research and detail into her videos. There’s so much bullshit and pseudoscience out there, or people telling you you don’t need to wear deodorant because “feminism” etc. And here we have an educated, smart and wise woman, who’s grown to be the older sister most of us never had. I’ll say it before under other videos of Alexandra, and I’ll say it again, I am so grateful to her. I’ll repeat it a hundred times if need be, I am immensely grateful. She’s not only taught us so much, myself included, but she has made me love being a girl/woman. I’m still between the two) I remember back in 2019-2020 when her content really matured and became a better, more womanly quality, because she’s grown so much, and those years were really important in my life for so many reasons. Now that I look back, I realise how much she’s helped me back then, and I’m so glad she’s still putting out videos. I love being a female, and that’s due to many reasons, but Alexandra is definitely one of them.

Also, 7:24 as a Eurasian who’s constantly shocked over how poorly Americans take care of their privates, can I just say, PLEASE do use gentle feminine wash and use either a bidet or an intime shower - which takes up less space than a bidet and is more comfortable to use. Americans go the the bathroom and wipe themselves dry, which creeps me out, no wonder the UTI rate is so high in the US. Please use at least water down there, it’s really important. One more things that’s also present in my culture is washing your feet before bed, at least with hot water. It relaxes you and helps you sleep better, but it also keeps your bed clean, and your feet fresh - cause they get to breathe though the night while staying clean, and as a former dancer, I’ve also found it prevents foot cramps, because it relaxes the muscles.

@@leylarustamova hi there! Lady in biology here who’s doing a big focus on gynaecology at the moment: bidets are great! Not everyone can use a feminine wash though, so that needs to be mentioned! Water alone is actually perfectly fine for many women. I personally use a sensitive skin soap on everywhere but the bottom near the opening, but I have friends who cannot use anything. So let’s not insist on feminine soaps! Soap in the vaginal canal ruins the beautiful acidity we possesses, which ruins our self cleaning capability. Sometimes even a drop of soap can get in there and cause a big mess.

This was like the most non judgemental and comforting hygiene video on CZcams. I feel so embarrassed, but I basically had my life set up in high school. I had a routine, great parents, and goals. I graduated top of my class, but had no real dreams or career path for after that. I went to college just cause it was expected at my college prep high school. By sophomore year of college, I still hadn’t decided on a major so I just picked the one my adviser suggested and went with it. Graduated summa cum laude.. then fell apart. My “track” had ended and my train was derailed. I hated my major and hated the jobs I was qualified for. I felt so stuck. I had wasted so much money. I was unemployed, depressed, a ball of anxiety (which I was my whole life) and my health and hygiene took a hit. I did get married and so for the year of wedding planning, I was fine. But after the wedding, I had no goals or dreams. I gained 60 pounds (husband gained quite a bit as well since we both turned to food for comfort and we used going out to eat as a way to spend quality time together) and hygiene became a back burner thing. If I had nothing to live for and no reason to go out, who cares if my hair was a little bit dirty? It took me a while to admit I was depressed because I felt guilty for being depressed. I am so blessed (wonderful family, amazing husband, etc.) but yet I was struggling so badly. I’m still a mess and don’t know what I want to do career wise, but I recognized the problem and plan on working on the solution. Weight loss and developing a healthy and obtainable hygiene schedule are on the top of the list. Love that this video doesn’t shame someone for not showering twice a day and instead provided small tips on how improve while also acknowledging that hygiene can be difficult because it’s not a one time thing - it’s a whole list of habits you have to stick to everyday for life. Just want to say, if you’re struggling, you’re not alone. I am no longer going to avoid admitting I have depression just because I’m afraid of someone saying “what do you have to be depressed about” because I’ll never improve if I just ignore it.

    My recent tips:
    1. Getting tape floss instead of normal floss
    2. If you can get an electric brush
    3. Use a fresh cloth on your face everyday if you can which is great for cleaning under and around the ear
    4. Clean out the crevice of your lady parts, ideally just water and your hands. Each time you shower, it's a game changer in terms of odour
    4. When traveling, get a panyliner and then you can swop them out and feel fresh on a longer day
    5. Baby wipes are a lifesaver on the go especially summer
    6. If you can shower twice, it doesn't have to be intense but choose a longer one and then a quick refresher.
    7. Avoid jeans in the summer I notice smells happen much quicker in summer than another season.

Lovely to have you back ❤
My biggest hygiene tip is to focus on the basics: instead of having perfectly manicured painted nails, just have well trimmed and clean ones. Social media often puts pressure on us about things we should/could do to improve our appearance (lasering/lash lifts/blow outs/peelings etc.), so we get overwhelmed in the process.
Everyone has to evaluate, what their basic needs considering hygiene and appearance are. Anything you put on top (like nail polish for example) will cost you time, for applying and removing (and chipped nail polish looks like …). I realised I feel better, more beautiful and way more relaxed if I do less but do it right and regularly. So I don’t get overwhelmed, everything is doable even in stressful times and I feel somewhat presentable and put together at any time.
The only thing extra I am not willing to skip are sheet masks and eyepatches once in a while. They are just so much fun!!!

Im 36 and the best advice I can give is look after your teeth. Its embarrassing but I neglected my teeth for years. I brushed them in the morning and now my gums are scarily receeded. Im too broke to get a procedure to fix the gums but anyway point is I used to avoid flossing because 'omg my gums are bleeding' which now i realised is a good thing. If theyre bleeding that means your gums are weak and needs cleaning. I also got a decent dentist who taught me that you keep the floss against the tooth and cut up. I was always too scared to do that/didnt realise that was what flossing really was. Now I feel so much better but still have regrets and wish id had better information earlier in life. Oh and when you brush your teeth dont swill your mouth with water. Keeping residue of paste in your mouth helps so much!

For the armpit detox hack- I learned that dermatologists recommend using a benzoyl peroxide wash! I use PanOyxl, which used to be a prescription wash from dermatologists but now is on the market for all. You apply it like a mask- put it on your armpits, wait two minutes, and then wash off. Some people completely avoid using deodorant because of this since benzoyl peroxide kills off surface bacteria, as well as sinks into the pores to cleanse! I personally still use deodorant- but I thought I’d share this tip. I do this about once a week (I sweat a lot) but you can look up what works for you!!

It honestly became a major source of insecurity for me and definitely caused a lot of bullying. I wish I had advice like this back then, but I least I know now that there was nothing wrong with me or my body.

I used to only wash what was "dirty" and my mother used to help my shower and she never corrected me. I always didn't smell great because of this, when I was 19 my brother told me I had a constant odor and I was horrified, now I wash everything thoroughly and am cleaner and happier. I started sobbing at the end of the video, I can't remember the last time I felt so understood and cared for.
I'm autistic and have always had a kind of ongoing battle with hygiene and personal care, I get so confused and jealous watching other girls do it with seemingly no effort.
It's so hard to keep on track sometimes, even if I don't know it my mind sets its own expectations for the events in a day and often a shower or laundry just doesn't fit into it.
It's always so much mental energy to have to manually do every hygiene task, especially when it's a bad sensory experience to do it. (ie: shirt/hair getting wet washing face)
I feel like my brain is a toddler sometimes, I'll be dirty and greasy and upset because of it, but I just can't bring myself to shower because I know how much energy it will take. Even if I know I'll feel 100x better afterwards. It's so overwhelming all the time.

Okay so random, but here's my oral hygiene routine:
    Night:
    - Mouth wash (kills first layer of bacteria and loosens food particles breaking them down)
    - Floss (takint advantage if the looser food particles from the mouth wash,, getting both sides of the gum arch between each tooth)
    - Brush (I usually clean in sections r.e. top row front, top row back, bottom row front etc. Making sure I lightly scrub my gum line, and scrubbing my tongue rigorously.)
    - Tongue scraper (scraping all the way from the back of my mouth to the very tip, and rinsing with water afterward)
    - Water test (i rinse my mouth with water making sure it tastes like water, not like dinner or my last meal lol this let's me know I cleaned my whole mouth)
    - Whitening straps (occasionally)
    - Sugar free mint gum throughout the day (helps freshen breath and keep your mouth clean because gum causes your saliva glands to pump extra fluid, keeping your mouth cleaner)
And this is for night time. Mornings I usually just brush. Once I started doing the night routine, my morning breath went away and my breath never got smelly. Anyways, there's my routine 😅

Thank you! I made it through this 30 minute video without scrolling through the recommendations, which I normally do due to my ADD. And it felt really easy and exciting to watch. You really nailed it on the visuals.

THIS is so perfect, thank you for creating this! I teach special needs teens and this is not only school appropriate but it feels like an older sister is letting us in on a secret about womanhood. And you covered everything! I am so so grateful, please know that you have made a huge positive impact on these young girl, and I hope this isn't cheesy but your videos are actually changing lives.

I love how at the end she says it's meant for a younger audience, then she said it also works if you're 28 😅
That is me currently and I honestly am still struggling with hygiene with life going on! Just want to smell good 🙏

I've started using a metal dental stick because floss sticks ruined my gums (recession) and it changed my life. It removes plaque like nothing else!

Wow really? Thank you 😊 I’m so curious about this alternative because gum recession is such a thing that creeps up until it’s a pricy problem you didn’t know existed!
