If porsche really wants to beat every one in the game,they should use battery cells with over 450 wh/kg energy density,and they should manage to have a battery pack with atleast 400wh/kg in pack level energy density,CATL will massproduce it's automotive version semi solid state condensed battery early summer this year with over 450 wh/kg in cell energy density,2025 porsche taycan turbo s weighs 2280 kg din which is 15 kg weight reduction and considering that more power and range and battery size is amazing but if they manage to have CATL semi solid state battery in their taycan line up they will have 400 kg weight saving from battery pack and they can reduce the weight of e drive units with another 80 kg from drive units,if they do this taycan turbo s will weigh 1800 kg din and a lot more range and performance i hope they will do what they should do to be the best

What does the cold weather do to the anticipated range though? What sort of reduction in range can one expect?

I noticed they didn't show charging at those freezing temperatures... Just driving curious if that performed as well...
Charging is OK at those temperatures, because the battery gets preheated, but range does take a bit of a hit.

Wonderful. I'm still waiting for a car brand that tests cars on a normal road on a 3rd world country like Brazil, Mexico or India. Road conditions, floods, traffic signals, etc. Make up a whole new battery of tests for any car. Any car that makes it in the 3rd world (except for snow, perhaps) will make it on the 1st world.
Porsche has been reduced to road noise and some nice feeling knobs and buttons.

All this talk, just like when the original Taycan was realeased; thousands of miles tested in the most extreme environments etc. Sure; but then the Taycan is released and the heater fails on nearly every car, the interior alarm sensors fail, and the infotainment can’t go 3 weeks without forgetting its favourites. Took you 2 years to fix that last one; I know, I had a Taycan. Guess your extended testing didn’t pick any of these issues? It was easily your least reliable car ever. Well done. No wonder this is one of the most rapidly depreciating cars on the market. Happy that mine was a lease and someone else took that bullet.

They don't see synthetic fuel as a mainstream alternative for new cars compared to BEV they always stood by that
Porsche’s charging standard just became the Betamax of EVs. Wait 18 months until it’s changed over to Tesla’s 400W standard or it’ll need expensive adapters.

Tesla's battery architecture just became the Betamax of EVs. Wait 5-10 years until it's changed over to an 800V standard or it'll charge half as quickly as everyone else. Getting a complimentary adapter is a better deal than having to wait 40 minutes to charge instead of 15.
@@Minurz Tesla is pretty smart to stick to 400V for their vehicles. They know it's not about the charging speeds. Most people charge at home on 240V anyways. 15 min vs 45 min won't matter if you plug your car in every night.
What does matter is battery degradation which fast charging may affect. The efficiency of tesla is truly magic that not even Porsche can match.
@@Minurz 5-10 years? Ain't nobody got time for that! I hope it's changed to 800w architecture. The Taycan was amazing on a track but Porsche loves their proprietary stuff lol. I just got my 718 CGTS 4L so I'm going to watch and wait with the EV transition for now. It's a manual :)

I once read that in Yakutsk they leave the engines running because temperatures are so low that the petrol or diesel would freeze after a while. Can not happen with a EV
