  • Dr. Shashi Kusuma discusses the differences of Laser Resurfacing and Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling are two of the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatments used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, scars, and other skin imperfections. Laser resurfacing involves using a laser beam to target damaged tissues in order to stimulate collagen production and promote natural healing in the area. RF microneedling uses an array of needles to create micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating healing and collagen formation. Both treatments are minimally invasive, offer little downtime, and can be used on all skin types.
The main difference between laser resurfacing and RF microneedling is that laser treatments target deeper layers of skin while RF treatments are more superficial. Laser resurfacing is typically more effective at reducing wrinkles and fine lines while RF microneedling can be used to reduce acne scarring, stretch marks, and other skin imperfections.
At Suria Plastic Surgery in Weston, Florida we have all types of lasers including Co2, UltraClear Laser (cold fiber) and Virtue RF Microneedling. Please setup your free consult online.
