  • Coronary artery, or heart artery disease is a leading cause of ill health and death around the world. It usually presents with chest pain, which is one of the most common reasons for medical consultation. In the evaluation of chest pain, it is important to identify or exclude significant coronary artery disease as this can lead to heart attack and other complications if not diagnosed and appropriately treated. Coronary artery disease can be detected through invasive and non-invasive cardiac tests. Computed tomography, or CT coronary angiography is one of the most accurate and useful non-invasive tests for diagnosing coronary artery disease, including narrowed or blocked arteries.
