- A wild camp and meet up with CZcamsr's: RS Outdoors and The Wandering Minstrel. It turned out be a wet windy night in the clag but a good test of gear. Some nice Jumper Home and MLD Duomid DCF tents putting my silnylon Force Tent Xenon UL2 to shame :-) Apologies to Rob for misnaming his backpack too, its a Gossamer Gear Mariposa 60, not the Gregory I mentioned, woops!

Cheers Jack.
Nice to meet up mate and a great wee trip, bar the weather. Atb
Wait till you see my Sunday video, the contrast is crazy. Enjoyed it all the same and good to tie up with you and Rob.
well you made the best of it, the drams always help! thanks for making the effort Andy.
Cheers Steve.
Good to see you out with Raymondo and your friend Rob too. Your tent of choice is a Palace. Love the chilled Ibiza tunes in the video too.
Ha, the nearest I'll get to Ibiza this year ( oldest swinger in town ) :-)

Great video mate 😍..Every time I’ve camped in Ime there’s been clag lol…Rob has the same tent as Stripey..Cracking tent..Defo like your Vango F10 Xenon UL 2.
Cheers
Robert
Hi Andrew, another great video, great to see another one of my old stomping grounds. Spent many days on the cobbler rocks. Cheers Jim.
Thanks Jim, actually been ages since I last walked and camped there, think I last did Ime about 20 years ago ( showing my age ) . A
Great video Andrew. Thanks. It takes time, patience and hard work to film these sort of thing things. Well done.
Thanks Alan, much appreciated. A
Tent looked great, could not see much flappage. Much preferred that to the wee pyramids. Thanks for sharing
It's been surprisingly good Dave , I do like DCF stuff tho too. A
Yeah I've been up that way twice got the same view at the summit with Billy. Got a slightly better one the next morning but still not great. Probably eventually get one of those DCF tarp tents. Great stuff.
I saw them Eddie, I think you and Billy prob were the inspiration !
Nice one Andy 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I just subscribed Andrew , getting back into a long lost love - camping, thanks to these films, at least 1 good thing came out of covid! Thank yous I mean that 🤝 keep it up ( please ha)
Thanks much appreciated!
Nice one Andrew, pity about the clag but still good to be out mate ..Good to see other CZcamsrs meeting up ..cheers Stevie
Thanks 👍
Plenty of room in the Xenon to sit out that rain , not the views you were hoping for but always good just to be out.
It's like a big hangar Dave, you can't win em all with Scottish weather ( as you know ) :-)
Great upload as ever Andrew.. Love the camaraderie (whisky is a beautiful thing), and the misty views. What is that Montane jacket? Glad you had a good night.
Hi Neil, thanks . It's a Meteor jacket, great value tbh.
@@AndrewParkOutdoors Good stuff. Will look into the jacket. Sláinte.
Great video. It would be nice if you could do a review on tent RS outdoors was using. It looks interesting. Cheers 👍
Check out Rays channel mate, he's done a review on it as it's a 1 off special made tent I believe 👍
Yep check out Ray's channel and he'll show you more.
Looks like the hood covering the porch is still floppy? Shame it doesn’t have a wire in it. Thanks as ever for sharing.
It's got a stiffener but it's just a bit warped , and I can't seem to get it into the correct shape :-(
Nice !
shame about the weather, but good wee video non the less. We're looking to do that route soon...how long roughly to get to top from Butterbridge?
A bit of crack? Not much sleep then
Lads I bought a led lenser lantern from lidl 20 quid, check it out.. Absolutely Brill.
Thanks, this is really helpful as I currently have my eye on one of these tents. In another video you mentioned uprating the poles - is this something you'd do yourself or can you recommend any company that does this? PS I've also had one of those Hyperlamina bags for a few years and I haven't ever seen a synthetic bag with a better weight:performance ratio, just excellent. And they're hard to lose as well!
Hi, thanks for watching. I looked at picking up a set of DAC poles ( you can get them from Extrem Textil in Germany ) and I don't think you need the Gothic arch part, the sleeves would fit a normal arch pole. A
@@AndrewParkOutdoors Thanks for the lead. I'll check them out. All the best.
Your tent is a copy of real tent.
Haha it's all real Al?!
