About this game:
The Binding of Isaac is a randomly generated action RPG shooter with heavy Rogue-like elements. TIPS FOR THIS VIDEO WATCHER
AND TIPS FOR THIS GREAT GAME
1.) Ph. D will remove (???) from all pill descriptors so you know what ALL pills do for the entire run.
2.) The rooms with only one spike pit in the center of the room are Sacrifice Rooms that will, upon taking damage from said spikes, reward you with items (May require multiple damage taking).
3.) Download a resource app on your phone's app store for this game to get all the info you need on everything from item/trinket/card/pill descriptions to info on bosses and unlockables!!(It's great because it gives you nothing but insight whilst learning the fundamentals of the game!
4.) The creator of this video is AMAZING and KEEP SUPPORTING videos like this so all of us gaming enthusiasts and casual players alike can enjoy the passion!
You probably already know this but for anyone who doesn't, at around 25 minutes, you can get those coins without taking damage. You can run diagonally through spikes like that and completely avoid damage, but it's risky as if you mess up the angle, you get hit.
This is a fantastic guide. Thank you! I just started playing this game and it's super overwhelming to just jump into. So many little things are just not explained in the game. While that's good for people who want to discover things on their own, it's also very discouraging to new players. Thanks again for the fantastic guide!
No problem at all, and this was my struggle when I first started playing. So many things go unexplained so I resorted to studying the Wiki and watching other youtubers play the game. The learning curve is pretty steep. Hopefully this video is helping new players become accustomed to the mechanics =)

Thank you so much for making this video. I got this game without knowing what I got myself into, heard about the hype, didn't watch the gameplay and hated this game for quite a while. I was on a -39 win streak showing very little improvement between runs. Only time I got to mom was playing the same seed again and again and that didn't count.
Your video helped tremendously! I learnt from this video about the treasure room and shops, deals with the devil, red chest and when to go for it and the 1hr + of gameplay video taught me lots of the basics. After this video, I defeated mom for the first time! I am so excited to keep playing now

At first, I was rushing and not really paying attention to strategy. Now I know what the tint rocks are, how to find secret rooms, and other tips. Plus, I feel like taking each floor a little slower and searching everything has made the game more enjoyable and easier for me. Thanks

The BOI game is a phenomenal achievement in gaming period. I came accross the genre of rogue and roguelike games about two years ago. this concept immediately provides nearly infinite replay value and Isaac is a glimmering gem of this genre. of course not to mention the nostalgic feeling of an absolute classic the legend of zelda. I am grateful for your video and Mr. Edmund MacMillans visionary approach to this. I love this game and love it because of its nostalgia and a key feature that all the triple AAA game studios that should take note of the ultimate concept REPLAY VALUE and Binding of Isaac and all its content is true testament of the power and value of what makes a game memorable and very special. Thank you for your video and i dont mind long videos the BOI has so much strategy and variety. This game is worthy of Hall of Fame status as does Elite Dangerous.

One more TIP!: Shop rooms usually have a great item at the cost of 15 cents, so if you have 15 cents or more it's usually good to use a key (or bomb into from an ajoined secret room if possible) to access the shop to purchase a great item!

That was a really good refresher! I didn't think it was too long at all, it's just the nature of Binding of Isaac to be that long. Plus you were explaining a lot of things so you kinda needed to take time to do that lol. I used to play the original all the time, but I just got Rebirth on sale and this helped a lot c: The only critique I might give is that the font you use is really jarring and takes a while to read, I might use a more accommodating font for people who have a harder time reading or whose first language isn't english. You're really good at explaining things! Thanks for making this vid.

You've probably learned this by now, but you can run into the spikes in spike rooms and get rewards.

Ye, but sometimes you can get super op combos where you can gain infinite hearts, bombs, keys and gold by hurting yourself xD
Ze Rubenator i always get screwed over in those so i never take the risk

This is worth noting that in the Afterbirth expansion, the spike rooms have been updated to include set drops based on the number of times you run into them. You can also fight the angel statues (twice), and be teleported to The Dark Room if you run into them enough.

+MRCnyc1 Nice! You won't be disappointed =) I believe the Switch version may be the most up to date version of the game, Afterbirth+. If so, no worries. Most of this information still remains relevant even in the expansions. Some items have changed though. Just refer to the Isaac Wiki's if you have questions regarding items. Have fun with it once it's out!

+souldrainr hey!! I can't respond directly to your comment, for whatever reason.. So hopefully you see this.. While some tips, such as secret rooms and maybe tinted rocks, may still be useful for Wrath of the Lamb, this guide probably isn't the best for it. I recording this guide based on my knowledge of Rebirth, and I'm unfamiliar with the original isaac and isaac expansion.

you are somewhat wrong when it comes to the shop keeps ( 4:01 ), they do have a purpose but its a small one, right now as it stands if you blow up 1 shop then you get a 16%+ chance to getting a devil room on that floor. (that is if you took damage)
i forgot to mention that you only get 16% once, if you blow up another shop keep it doesn't give you another 16%

I just wanted to make another part to show the Womb 1 and 2 since after the first clear, you will always end up in womb 1 and 2. There's more information and more to the game after that, but that's for more advanced players. Nonetheless, you might find some useful info in the 2nd part but I dont recall if I go over too much end game content. You may want to check out the Isaac wiki to learn more about Shoel, The Cathedral, The Dark Room, and The Chest. Also look up Mega Satan, The Hush, and Delirium bosses while you're at it. Enjoy Isaac and keep playing =)

Did you notice the face in the fart cloud? it's like one of those messed up Isaac faces I think. I love the way all the enemies are actually Isaac in some way, pure nightmare world.

To be honest, I chunked into into 2 blocks and watched them at work while working. I loved how poor Isaac served as your pointer when showing secret room areas. No wonder the little dude cries.

I have early videos of me playing this on the channel and I wasn't very good when I started either. It's a tough game with a bit of a learning curve. Just gotta keep at it and eventually you'll start to learn how it works.

Awesome video! When you beat Monstro, why did you not jump through to the next level? Is it because you wanted to find all the secret rooms first?

alexvideogames alternating ending paths after womb2 (cathedral and shoel), alternate final bosses (the lamb, blue baby), a secret final boss (mega satan), about 350 different items, boss rush, 11 different characters to play as, 20 challenge missions.... There's a lot of content lol..
