I was there as a 12 year old. My grandfather took me. I am so lucky to have seen so many great players.
In what year were you born?

Did Stefano you got to see him play..
@@IsCumaFut2 Yes I saw the great Alfredo di Stefano and the great Ferenc Puskas play that day as well as all the other giants of world football.
@@garthvadar who is the most outstanding player according to you?
90% of the attendees are in suites .... how beautiful is that
Just saying to my wife I bonked off school to watch it in B&W. That was 60 years ago. To see this in magnificent colour has made my day and Jimmy Greaves Birthday 81, yesterday !!
Bunked, I hope you mean.
👍👍👍
😂@@CheesestringXX
"And what an escape for England as Dennis Law is just over with that shot"
Are you f**king kidding me? "Just over"?? 58 years later that ball has just landed outside my front door here in Norway!!
LoL
🤣🤣😂😆❤💯
Amazing to see so many men in suits and ties, putting on their Sunday best to watch football. And to go to Wembley to watch Yashin, di Stefano and Eusebio!
The old Wembley was a far classier looking building, with atmosphere
this is incredible footage...the color, the quality. I am disappointed it has only 32k views
Yashin was amazing. Would've been a different game if he also played the second half
Thank goodness the rest team substituted Yashin for the second half .poor keeping for England's winner
I was there. Yashin was great. England's 2 goals were scored in the second half. Yashin was not the goalkeeper in the second half.
It must have been spectacular to see the best goalkeeper that ever lived live.
@@mortemicrorreactor8851 Believe me, it was..

Old times but good times. Joy, respect and no hooligans
What a game Yashin had
Grande Djalma Santos.
Belo vídeo, imagem em boa definição. Grandes jogadores, Pelé ficou de fora por ter se machucado !
Thanks for putting this together. Loved every minute! You can’t beat the Old Wembley.
4:27 oof, that’s gotta hurt
The old Wembley with songs bands and 10 times better atmosphere than today and of course the great Jimmy greaves
Lot simpler times
this is lev yashin 's show
Now we have a champion though
Bobby Moore playing but not as captain a bit early before he becames best captain ever for England
I remember as a 9 year old boy in Liverpool watching this with my brothers
Кто знает чем бы закончилась игра, если бы Лев Яшин отыграл весь матч...
Fantastic Old Football in a legendary stadium
Thanks for sharing this. Inexplicably for a showpiece match it was played on a Wednesday afternoon in October!! I remember running home from school and catching the last few minutes - pre Match of the Day so no recorded highlights
Check out the crowd shot at 1.11, nearly eveyone suited and booted. The only tracksuits are at the pitchside.
It was a unique stadium , now the new one is soulless like so many modern stadiums.
The great jim baxter played
I saw tv the match. Was excellent, World has a wonderful team and England played very well.
Can't wait for the rematch in 2063
🤣🤣😂 Love It 💯
Good to see Jimmy Greaves at his best.
Law was better,a great match
@@rachidbenyoucef4582 Jimmy scored the winner
@@rachidbenyoucef4582 As good as Law was Greaves was a far superior striker. His records have stood the test of time. Very underrated. Law was an electrifying player all the same.
@@LordFlashheart.11Law was a better all-round player. Greaves was a striker pure and simple
There is a longer clip elsewhere on CZcams. About 15 mns long, in black and white, with different, and IMO, better camera angles.
i can totally see why yashin is the best goalkeeper in history . luckily for england he didnt stay for 2nd half :D
That was some game .
My dad died recently, going through boxes from the loft I found a ticket for this match, so he must have been there I guess. He would have been 24 when this was played. 17/6 for a ticket.
Omg that's EPIC!!!

Jimmy Greaves in colour and with better camera work.
Super stuff.
No Pele or Garrinchia in 1963? What kind of Rest of the World team is this?
Pele ingury
Prince Phillip was only 42, looks older.
The two best keepers of all time in one game
It looks like neckties were checked on the way in
Check any old news footage of the 66 WC or any surviving newsreels of football in the 50's and 60's - nearly every male in the crowd is dressed in same manner. The majority of working class men wore collar and ties when they "went out". It was normal practice.
Luis Eyzaguirre referent this Chilean 🔵🔴🇨🇱💕
Three years later they did beat the world
And haven't won anything since
No evidence of diversity in the England team or the Wembley crowd in 1963
Agreed I prefer the old Wembley it had an aura about it that intimidatined oppostion
Good match, england played in 2013? 150 years football england..
Yashin and Banks???!!!
5:43 international hand gesture for "W@nker"?
🤣
" Just over"meaning on it's way to mars.
I gotta give it to England, beating Earth alone is quite the achievement
This Is Match Of The Century
Petition to get this to happen again before Messi and Ronaldo retire
I think so they will not do it even if people want because english team isnt that strong now they will get humiliated badly
@@indronilganguly9715 Not so given the European Cup. In any case a team of players who know and play with each other will always have a heavy advantage over a team of strangers thrown together.
The England of that day were still in the early stages of Ramsey's revolution. They were not so great yet. The Rest of World Team played maybe not so important to them. Certainly strangers to each other. So funny how the news reader making out England were the best in the world when France trashed them in the Euro Nations and also Scotland had beat them @@indronilganguly9715

@@Andrewf5251 You must be a Scot,as you have never forgiven the Auld Enemy winning the Jules Rimet trophy in 1966,and I was there!
A crappy group of world players ..... other than Eusebio rest were either old(Di Stefano) or sub-par
so Yashin was sub-par huh?
And masopust the balon d oor winner from 1962
Law could play a bit
You had to wear a shirt & tie to enter a stadium in 1963.
