lmaooo yes he does! thanks my dude
This is fire, I really wish there were more vaporwave channels. Subbed
Totally feel you on that, that's why I made this! tons of content to discuss plus it's a blast making these videos
Goddamn, I might start making bootleg cassettes for myself. I want all of these on cassette and it's probably cheaper just to make these myself.
That's always a fun idea, I've seen some sweet home brews before!

yep! I'll be doing a review once that comes in, still waiting for it.
I sold my 2814 Birth of a New Day cassette for about $60. Most expensive cassette I ever sold. I started the bids at about what I paid for it. ~$20something. I was surprised. I have the first pressing of that album on vinyl when they did the Kickstarter for it. Curious to see how that one's doing as well.
I used to be mad at myself for collecting so many vaporware cassettes but Im realizing some of them are very rare

I remember when I first saw the Mac plus cassette was still readily available from beer on the rug...man I really regret not buying one when it was super obscure LOL
im so glad a friend of mine has got eccojams on cassette and now i get to look cool to be a friend of a collector.
u can be the bouncer to his collection
Man, I would LOVE to see some ECO VIRTUAL in a vinyl release! Never got into cassette collecting, but it was really cool to see these covered! Thanks again
Brilliant channel buddy! Truly appreciate your work.
Thank you Gregory, much appreciated! I have an absolute blast making these, ever since I've started the channel its been an incredible creative outlet for me. Hope to see you in the next video!

Great stuff, well researched! looking forward to your bootleg opinion video Pad!

great video Pad, its really pretty interesting to see how high these limited tapes actually go for. I myself am a heavy record collector, though I do own a few cassettes. I even made a blank banshee and floral shoppe tape just to throw on for the astheticssss. I just bought that ecco jams lp btw so ty for letting me know bout that. who knows if thatll ever get an official pressing so why tf not get a bootleg. peace brotha -mickey
Thats dope! They probably look cool too, I think it would be fun redesigning inner cards for cassette tapes that already exist. Give it its own unique touch.
much love brotha
#9 is such a great album, one of my all-time vaporware favorites.
Cassettes truly are the ultimate format
Bruh I swear this channel is underrated
Nice and beatiful top!!!
Great video! Just want to let you know that the cassete version of the midnight television EP has sold for 250$
Great video man, I subscribed and I'd love to see more like this! It's amazing seeing the prices people are willing to pay for obscure music in this outdated, degradable format. I'll say though that a copy of T e l e p a t h's Antara sold for $325+ in the Vaporwave Cassette Club, some idiot paid $350 and another paid $200 for Vantage's Metro City, and Millennial Dream Corp.'s Drake 遗事 Josh / / Josh 遗事 Drake sold for $175 as well so that bumps a couple of these off the list.
crazy right? yeah I primarily went off of discogs pricing but I can only imagine some of the Vaporware Cassette Club deals
Glad I'm not the only one who got eccojams. For me though, I got the vinyl. Hope it sounds good.
I'm still thinking about coppin the vinyl...not sure yet though
Nice top!
Thanks! Looking forward to doing a lot more of these in 2018.

Hey man, I fucking love your content. Your editing is beautiful, and isn't half assed at all. Good shit.
I just got my first cassettes, and I have no way of playing them. I have a hifi setup, and kinda want a deck (?) that I can have with my receiver and turntable. Why do you use? What would you recommend? When is OESBEE gonna send everyone else's Floral Shoppe copies?
Keep up the killer content, can't wait to see your channel grow.
Thanks Austin!
- So I've personally never been a big cassette guy, literally for the small amounts I have I use this aqua colored portable one my girlfriend got me for Christmas lol...If anything, I like it more than some hi-end system. If I'm listening to the cassette at this point I purely am doing it for the cheap vibe and aesthetic.
- I have a Fluance RT-80, absolutely love this turntable. Got it while it was on sale a couple years back. Definitely check em out.
-In regards to the OESBEE FS records, I have no idea when the rest of the orders are being shipped out. I do hope you guys get it soon, I really am lucky to get mine despite ordering on D-Day.
Pad Chennington good stuff, that might be what I end up doing, I don't wanna be too invested in cassettes since they're still inferior to other formats. Can't wait to see what this year brings for you!
lol not even I would buy those for that much good video as usual
Great video! Please make a video discussing Eccojams Vol. 1 cassette tape and the album in general, thank you!
Seems like youre predicting the future ;) stay tuned!

Silly question, but how are these limited edition cassettes produced? Are there companies that still make cassettes for commercial production? Or are these 'handmade' with old stock?
You're Rad, Pad.
Pad Chennington and Vaporwave people, where the hell can I buy vaporwave physicals after they’ve been sold out on their Bandcamp? I adore Late Night Delight and want a physical of it but, don’t know where I can buy it. Thanks.
Question:
I'm all for supporting the original release of an album. But I find myself in a strange place about buying my first initial batch of Vaporwave from BandCamp. I'm by no means a rich fellow, but just the tapes I'm looking to buy now that are in stock from the artists are adding up really quickly. I have almost $200 worth of cassettes in my cart with only 5-6 album total. Don't get me wrong, the exclusivity and custom designs getting cassettes are great! But I know I will never have a complete collection simply due to the rarity of an album or the fact the artist never pressed a physical format. Which leads me into another option: why not just make rips of an album to a cassette if the album is free to download legitimately? This also means if you're creative, you could make your own designs on a cassette. But of course, it will never be the original. Funny as it is as Vaporwave was born of the idea of stealing, remixing, repackaging, older tracks from decades ago.
Should I invest myself into purchasing Vaporwave cassettes to validate their legitimacy or make my own mixtapes such as the youth of the past once did to capture the songs they heard on the radio?
Why do so many of the cassettes by vektroid have the sega Saturn logo on them? It’s a video game console lol.
Luxury Elite // Saint Pepsi: Late Night Delight
Time for an updated list?
WHERE CAN I FIND THAT VAPORWAVE VERSION OF 99 LUFTBALLONS AT 2:00?

If it gets bought, eccojams will become the most expensive, as someone right now is selling it for $2000
I'm just gonna make some boots, like for hit vibes, that presumely lost world tour tape, at the same time I'm saving up for a hit vibes record :)

im looking to start a small label to help artists and to make people understand and enjoy magnetic supports

I'm contemplating it hahaha not sure but maybe one day you'll see a video pop up of it, who knows
Pad Chennington if ya got the funds, I say #YOLO. (Love the content, hope to see more.)
Haha, got inspired mate? Intriguing topic! It's interesting to see the market prices go up as the community grows and the releases get older. I think we've just reached that point where it's no longer a meme genre and people are clawing to get a piece of history. I myself am more of a vinyl record collector (still waiting for floral shoppe); even though cassettes are more time-period correct and absolutely the go-to medium for vaporwave, I personally find them flimsy, small and boring. It's easier to show off collection album art with record covers and (not to sound like a snob) the sound quality is arguably better, if only for the fact that people who have turntables usually have better listening equipment than cassette player owners, exceptions notwithstanding. Also you have to rewind them,or is that part of the charm? In any case, they are now valuable collectibles, and I find that highly amusing. I must admit that I mainly got into collecting vaporwave on vinyl because the cassette scene is a bit confusing to me, and I got in a little late, at the stage that vinyl were starting to come out, and I already had a turntable. Also, on that note; if you ever do a "albums that need to be on vinyl" for future funk, may I recommend Together by VentureX and Rollergirl by Rollergirl!.
Great comment man enjoyed reading that.
I personally am way more of a vinyl collector than cassette, I only have about 20-25 vaporware tapes and a couple other random cassettes, while vinyl I believe I'm at around 1,500 records now? getting out of hand haha.
Furthermore, to me atleast, vinyl is easier to collect..you can fit way more on a shelf as they are so skinny hahah
Purchased the Moe Shop Pure Pure tape for $650 on discogs. It was my white whale and the one cassette tape that is at the forefront of my Future Funk collection. ~
I did a cassette reproduction myself of "floral shoppe" just for the fun of it :
actual tape rip downloaded, dubbed onto (white body) tape, and I made stickers for the actual tape (though I think on the original side labels are silk screened on the tape body), and printed a two-sided cover on 220 gr glossy paper.
Maybe all this is sounds a little weird or paranoid, but I hope it's a lot less paranoid than the money amounts people willing to pay for an original tape.
You can even say that all of these high money amounts spent for tapes or vinyl LP editions of this album, are just a sarcastic analogy, given that this actual record is based ON OTHER PEOPLES' MUSIC that Vectroid just manipulated :D - to an older guy like me (46), it would be even been like she stole music - not just sampled stuff - haha :D.
Don't get me wrong, I love the album and I love this music genre, for the whole distorted nostalgia feel of it, and I like the overall cultural aspect of Vaporwave as a movement, for numerous reasons to explain :)
Forgive the bad English - C h e e r s :D

Y’all guess what LUXURY ELITE dropped an album recently it’s call prisma still haven’t finished it
3:57 300 benjamins.. So $30,000 dollars?
gaaaad damnit u got me.
I don't support bootlegs, since the artist doesn't make any money off his/her work, and in some cases they straight up scam people for hundreds of dollars such as eccojams. However, if there isn't any official printings available, second runs or any way for me to get my hands on a album that directly supports the artist, then I see bootlegs as a last resort. If the printing company don't want my money, then I'll just take it somewhere else.
You could of course buy second hand and indirectly support the artist, but when some of the albums I want is well over 80 or even 100 dollars, then bootlegs for 20, or less sound a lot more appealing. And whenever a printing comes up, some of them sell out in a matter of minutes. I get that printings take time, but when there is this much demand for some albums, they should supply it.
Can someone list all of the songs featured in this video??
They're all songs from my album Computer Love! I go by Aristotle's Hard Drive on Bandcamp! Thanks for listening!

don't you hate it when you buy a VAPORWAVE CASSETTE and it never comes )-:
the struggle
the eccojams remaster is fine, if you can't snag an edition from the curatorial club. vektroid ran off hundreds of copies of floral shoppe after mac+ became interesting to people, so they're all essentially worthless to an educated buyer.
and to think, i am on the fence for a 60 dollar cassette of Desert sand...dense fog and people are paying 2 weeks wages worth for 1 cassette.
wait... they actually made the bootleg tapes?
Yessir they exist lol I know
they are still not cool since, y'kno: the artists is still alive, active and selling the mp3s.
i get bootlegs w/o consent for artists that are inactive and missing
