@@mrblake0917 Having played CoD since 2009 I can say that thus far it's literally the same point gun click shoot simulator as it was 14 years ago. The reason we prefer the older games is cos we grew up with them and they're either nostalgic orfamilliar to us. The reason we do not like newer CoDs is cos we outgrew them.
Honestly, one of the biggest things I miss about the older games were the memorable soundtracks. Each title screen soundtrack sounded so unique and you could pick it up and recognize it right away. Hiring Hans Zimmer to do the MW2 soundtrack showed how much they cared about the products they made. Now they're just an afterthought.

It’s definitely boosted by nostalgia, but there’s no denying the older games had more effort put into them. These days they just focus on graphics above all else

People say mw2 or bo2 is the best call of duty of all time. But I disagree, bo1 still holds the title for me
I had the privilege of re-living full/active SnD lobbies on BO1 when it first got added to plutonium for PC. I spent a good 3 months replaying it as if it legit had just came out. It was the most fun I had playing CoD since I can even remember. I've played every CoD that's come out, and without a doubt, we are NOT blinded by nostalgia. These games were truly something special.
Aug and Commando were my go to weapons. Love the sound of both.

AUG or M16 with the acog scope for me. M16 was just easy for me to use personally but nothing was as satisfying as frying with the AUG.

I my opinion I think that's what makes a good cod, when most guns are good. When you have 1 or 2 weapons that you have to use or you can't compete. It REALLY turns me off a cod game.

In term of only performance the FAMAS was the best but you can even play with others very balanced game
@@callmedopeman1189 the AUG became the best weapon in the game after the nerfed the Famas. After the nerf, the AUG had the same range, same fire rate, same mag capacity; but had a better recoil pattern, reloaded faster with dual mag than the Famas.
The Famas was the first AR I used and I used it literally forever. Then I started branching out. The galil and commando was probably my favorite because low recoil followed by the AK.
I cannot separate the galil and the commando, the famas is 3rd for me because the recoil
What I miss about the old games besides just being better, was ALL of the guns basically were OP so it made it more fun because everyone could use whatever they wanted and you could counter whoever you wanted because EVERYTHING was OP lol

Of course I remember the Commando. It was a clone of the AK-47, Galil, and Enfield.
MPL, Spectre and the Kiparis were really underrated and good smgs from my experience. Mac11, Skorpion, Uzi and PM63 were okay. PM63 suffered cause of short clips and the amount of ammo.

This game had the sexiest audio ever man. The reloads on the commando/galil/G11/etc. were all so aesthetically pleasing.
I remember one of my friends being a BO1 fiend after we linked up with some middle school friends back in the day. He grinded to 15th and got the gold camos, a crazy k/d and was the sweatiest tryhard I’ve ever seen. The famas, or AK with Lightweight, sleight and ninja, or slap flak and tac mask with dual mags, and it was endless fun. So many memories after watching this lol
This takes me back to the MW3 days of CZcams when gaming was dominated by videos of CoD and Minecraft, and the biggest channels would just post good gameplay and talk over it like this. Nice trip down memory lane.

I saved a clip ages ago with the G11 titled "Count the Bullets". Took 4 1/2 bursts to kill 1 guy on Firing range. No idea wtf happened, but it was shooting marshmallows. Never used it after that. The Chicom in BO2? Absolute legend of a burst gun.

Commando and AK47 were my favorite guns to use. The thing I liked about a lot of the OG CODs is how you don't get everyone using the highest rank gun all the time. I often saw people using lower tier guns despite the rank. Just cause there was more variety. SMG's in BO1 were too short range focused. Hard to kill anything at a distance. Plus the drain on ammo was a lot more.
As a kid the one thing I dislike the most about BO1 is the lack of killstreaks. As a kid the killstreak was the main goal. Sad that more recent cods tend to push the killstreak variety out the door. It's now just the same thing. Care packages, predator missile, ai controlled attack helicopter, and then some form of aviation that lets you shoot down at people. Usually giving it a different look, but same thing. Advanced Warfare's customization killstreak was my favorite thing from the game, and wished we got more of that in future games. Like not just adding a weapon onto an AC-130. But being able to change the type of killstreak a lot.

My all time favourite COD gun. It's the one with which I got my only ever 100 kill game. I went back a few months ago to see what BO1 was like, but I was waiting in queue for over an hour with only 100+ people online.

I play on PC, and it's mostly cheaters in multiplayer, but going back to zombies brings back the strongest feeling of nostalgia. It's crazy man, love seeing the BO1 vids recently. Keep streaking man!

My favorite weapons were the Famas, AUG, Galil, Commado, MPL, AK74U, Stakeout, Olympia, and L96A1. I remember dropping 100+ kills in demolition basically every game (even with the L96A1) or carrying my team in search. Famas red shot with python pistols was my go to try hard weapon, but I always enjoyed using other weapons. They don’t make games like this anymore!
I miss black ops so much I remember playing countless hours on it, zombie wise and multiplayer, I wish trey arch can deliver us another game like it but I feel like those days are over, as a fan I wish for a remastered version

Back when you didn't have to focus on having good movement and aim just to be average at the game. All you had to do was worry sbout was perfecting your aim and knowing your enemy spawn points to be good. Now it doesn't mean anything to have a good aim if you dont have good movement to back it up

When I first started playing I was running FAMAS with hip fire pro and got good really fast lol. Then I learned how to tame the ak and went ghost suppressor and hacker pro. Hacker pro was legit the sleeper perk you could see everyone's equipment around walls and take it over fast if you wanted and if they had motion sensor you didn't show up. The true stealth build lol

I used to murk with the specter and the MPL. I always enjoyed using stuff nobody else did. I even got accused of cheating using the HK21. And the reload speed of the Enfield is lightning quick with sleight of hand pro.

This was my game. This was the year my family could afford to get the new 360 and then I mowed lawns to save up for black ops I used to play this all day and never get bored
Flak/SOH/Tac Mask were the perks to run on this game, especially on NukeTown. Only thing that could kill you was bullets.

The majority of players ran the galil or FAMAS. I ran into those guns too many times. I mained the m14 had a 1.8 k/d in this game. God I miss it so much.
