Well you missed all the Nazi insignia in Stormfront's costume AND her name is Stormfront xD It's a Nazi term. They did a good job of sort of taking our attention away from it by making it seem like she's some sort of progressive feminist, but she didn't think she was equal, she thinks she's superior to everyone lol. When the show was airing this was the moment everyone went, "wait... why is she only killing black people... and foreigners... waaaaaait...." Haha In the comments it was a lot more obvious.
Fun Behind The Scene Fact: The actor who plays Butcher, Karl Urban was actually driving that little boat while the other cast members were actually riding inside. Karl's driving was so wild and crazy that the rest of the cast were absolutely terrified. The scared looks on their faces were totally real.

That was about the same time I realized it. The "yellow" comment just cemented it. I don't get the obtuse nature of some who don't realize until further episodes in. Like they don't want to believe it.
It was the same for me, with the man on the stairs, I was like "Oh, she's destroying a _bIack_ _neighborhood._ Yikes." And it's kinda frustrating when I see reactors (mostly wh¡te and American) being unable to recognize the hints. (for context, I'm a latin@ from Chile, South America. Not even from the US and still was able to notice the obvious implications).

However it is also just pointing out that white people are often not cognizant of the racial undertones that exist in everyday life and media that people of color and people from other marginalized groups know to recognize. It’s not their fault, but it just speaks to a level of white privilege to not have to be aware of that and to be able to live life without having that kind of experience. Yes having color blindness in these instances are good to just see people as people, but it is also bad because it speaks to a level of ignorance and lack of awareness of the experiences of others.
Look up what StormFront means. They tell you who she is from the start but most people don’t know what it is. I was in utter shock during this episode!
I literally did a research paper on that website and didn't even realize. When I finally made the connection I was mind blown it really shows how well they did making an analogy out of the character.
I knew about Stormfront and was confused about them live streaming and being in the show, then I just thought she had just a very unfortunate name. She had me even more fooled by referencing Pipi Longstockings. But when she blasted that family I immediately knew what was up. lol Absolute kudos for how they did this because it is such a good parallel to how modern Neonazis use social media to push people towards their narratives. Extra fun fact: Her actress, Aya Cash, is Jewish.

In my opinion Stormfront killing innocent people in the apartment building wasn't so much, if at all, about having casualties to blame on the "Super Terrorist/Villain." You guys picked up on the racial slur she used when killing Kimiko's brother, now go back and take a look at the family she killed and the random man in the stairway she killed. I think she had a very different motivation for killing them which she later spun to her own advantage.

Near the beginning of the episode, when they were discussing the movie script. The comics they showed were a homage to the original story from the comics. It isn't a direct piece of the comics but the way Mayve and homeland were drawn was very similar to the comics. Have fun enjoying the rest of a series, we are all excited for the forth and final season!

The thing I feel about Homelander that will get hinted at in other episodes is Homelander isn't racist. He merely views humans as a lesser form of life and inconsequential to the life of a Supe. As long as that Supe isn't disabled and is good at what they do he doesn't care what color they are. It's like in fantasy where humans view elves/dwarves as lesser beings or in sci-fi where humans view alien life as lesser than their own. When the show first came out, I wasn't super interested in it. It was full-on Superhero overload at the time. I watched a few episodes and kind of just gave up on it because I was watching other things. Went back and watched it again about 2 months ago, and got hooked and binged the whole series in like 3 days. Such a damn good show with awesome characters, acting, and writing.

I won’t spoil anything but if you go back and listen to what she calls the brother and see the ethnicity of the people she killed in the building… yeah you can kind of start to piece together what kind of a person she is.

I am confused by how many reactors pronounce Kimiko that way. Mesmer says, "Her name is kim-MEE-ko, by the way." Karen Fukuhara says kim-MEE-ko in interviews, etc. Maybe it's because of how Frenchie says it, I suppose, but no one imitates his pronunciation of Hughie or Butcher, etc. HaHaHa ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Kee-MEE-ko. The "i" is pronounced "ee" in English and the stress is on the second syllable. American vowels tend to be a little soft and even drawled at times, so we'd probably say it "Kim-ick-o". It's why people freak out so much when American's pronounce Japanese wrong especially, but it's not like Asian people are nailing our names either, lol. My Taekwondo master called me "Eban" instead of "Evan" and I knew him like 8 years.

Yeah, you guys did miss something. Unfortunately everything stormfront did wasn’t planned and it wasn’t just to have something to blame on kimikos brother. I won’t spoil anything but if you go back and listen to what she calls the brother and see the ethnicity of the people she killed in the building… yeah you can kind of start to piece together what kind of a person she is.

I am confused by how many reactors pronounce Kimiko that way. Mesmer says, "Her name is kim-MEE-ko, by the way." Karen Fukuhara says kim-MEE-ko in interviews, etc. Maybe it's because of how Frenchie says it, I suppose, but no one imitates his pronunciation of Hughie or Butcher, etc. HaHaHa ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Kee-MEE-ko. The "i" is pronounced "ee" in English and the stress is on the second syllable. American vowels tend to be a little soft and even drawled at times, so we'd probably say it "Kim-ick-o". It's why people freak out so much when American's pronounce Japanese wrong especially, but it's not like Asian people are nailing our names either, lol. My Taekwondo master called me "Eban" instead of "Evan" and I knew him like 8 years.
