Can't believe it's been 10 years since this film was released. This really brings back some good memories from when it was shot in my neighborhood. That football ground is like our second home, I'd say.
This movie is a great movie and a movie which made ranjith into a mainstream movie director with a big fan base.. Story is powerful and is about North madras people
This movie is better than Vada chennai
The actor name is Karthi, who you got to know recently in Ponniyan selvan as vandiyadevan( Quirky one). You have also seen him in kaithi directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj. He is also younger brother of Actor Suriya

I would recommend Pa. Ranjith’s Kaala starring Rajinikanth.. Interesting fact, during OSR Awards all the time you mentioned Qala, I thought you were talking about Kaala coz they both are pronounced the same.. Anyway, Nana Patekar is in it.. Santhosh Natayanan has given a massive score to it and Rajinikanth has lived the character as a Dharavi don..

It's a must watch film. This film gave a another perspective about the north Chennai (Previously called as Madras) which is the tittle of the movie. Pa. Ranjith made the whole of tamil cinema to focus on the geo politics of Chennai after this movie.

you have to watch pretty much any pa. ranjith movie besides kabali, they're all amazing in their own right. madras is a particular highlight, but if you want more rajinikanth kaala is an incredible movie as well.
