- Jake Jarman's incredible vault during the men's all around final at the 2023 World Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, Belgium.
Kasamatsu 2.5, D 6.0, E 9.433; Score 15.433
I love how genuinely suprised he was after he realized he stuck it 😂
This was the greatest vault ever done. Highest difficulty rating (tied with four others at 6.0), stuck landing, excellent execution in the air besides slightly flexed feet… when you consider EVERY vault ever done, and consider the combo of difficulty, execution and landing, this has to be the best
Truly. The E score should have been higher to reward such exception
Yep, I agree.
Ever done in male gymnastics
What an amazing vault! Highest degree of difficulty and highest execution leading to the highest apparatus score of the evening! If he executes like this in the vault final the gold is his!
That face on the landing lol. God I hope he nails it in the vault final and wins gold. Fingers crossed.
Lol he did. Powerful and beautiful
This aged well!
it was legendary watching this live
The distance on that was INSANE
I've got the biggest crush on this man. his talent. his humility. I can watch him twist all day long.
So nice seeing my old coach
Awesome vault! I hope he does well in the Paris Olympics. Thanks for publishing the difficulty and final score.
This is the most preposterous piece of gymnastics I've ever seen in my life lol
Absolutely amazing
The cleanest landing I've ever seen.
That was a gorgeous vault.
Olly was shocked lol
He took the risk & paid off
So can we name this the Jarman vault?
Muito lindo meu amor da minha vida papai ❤
At last, a gymnast who knows how to plié. Saves a landing every time.
By plié do you simply mean bending the knees and absorbing the landing?… because there are tons of male gymnasts who are fantastic at landings. Also, a plié position is not a safe landing position for hard impact lol
@@theendangeredpetrolhead Yes, bend ‘ ee
Yes. Bend ‘ eye knees. It needs to be applied when needed even though the floors absorb much of the power.
@@elizabethkoehler5475 that’s literally not what a plié is. That would mean that every time someone bends their knees anywhere it’s a “plié”. Every sport bends their knees when they land, including gymnastics.
@@theendangeredpetrolhead okay…I get it. But you’re talking to a former ballerina and literally plié simply means “bend the knees”. Now I admit that gymnasts do indeed bend their knees but they also allow the floor to absorb a lot of the landing force. All I’m saying is that a bit more plié might just cushion the landing enough to make it stick a bit easier. I’m open to any instruction and enlightenment you might wish me to have as I watch with a ballet trained eye. So have at it. I’m listening.
how many twists is this?
I hope he wins World or Olympic Vault finals
What did he score?
@scottsummers2935 No, this was the all around competition, where he had 5 other events he competed on, he got 13th whilst in the Vault final he won the gold medal. hope that clears up the confusion.
I saw this on insta randomly and holy shit lol Im not even a fan of this sport
