    Bears need solar beam . Also agreed on the talent trees being a mess.

    Excellent video.
    I agree with you 100%.
    Bear druid even on live, is not really that tanky in a reliable way. Requires allot of CD shuffling.
    And the constant spamming of iron fur...Oh god....
    I actually find brew easier to be honest with you, prot warrior included.
    bear can be so spiky outside of ideal set ups. Brew I just do my damage rotation and pop a purify lol.
    Bear druid I always feel like I'm on the edge.
    And you can't even see your mog unless out of combat in your regular form.
    i awnt to see what I'm earning.

    I like bear simply because of the reflect they have. I might still main bear but prot warrior looks really tempting as a main also

    i believe the built u play is not the optimal. u have Thrash doing arcane dmg but u dont buff it in the talents.

    • @ThordrenekGaming
      @ThordrenekGaming  Před 9 dny

      The only realistic way to get the Thrash talents while also getting the Arcane talents on the right side of the tree (several of which are absolutely required so you can take Lunar Beam) would be to run a "no-Incarn" build. That gets you 4-5 talent points to spend elsewhere, but missing Incarn feels really bad--and you lose a lot of Thrash usage playing without Incarn because you get a significantly reduced CD on Thrash during Berserk/Incarn.
      This is all a large part of why my feedback about the Guardian tree is pretty negative. You're required to pick up Lunar Beam to play Elune's Chosen, but you're also incentivized to take all of the Arcane damage buffing talents AND all of the Thrash talents, but you can't actually do that.

    I main bear and i think the hero talents are dull and boring compared to other tanks they could of made some really good around some of the dead talents in the spec tree IE pulverize but they continue to go back to the same thing and thats moonbear which is stupid ontop of that the spec tree and class tree seem to have been made by someone special, Locking Stamp roar behind a talent you dont even need to take now since enraging is gone is idiotic as you said why the fact the still have beserk over 3 talents is beyond me

  • @DierdreWolf
    @DierdreWolf Před 3 dny

    They need to get us / Druids in general a dev to look at us and pay attention the way they have been Mage/Lock/DK, etc. Yet, every time I bring up a grievance of us not having gotten any attention or changes someone comments with "Bears are fine". That just tells me they dont play bear. The class tree needs serious help. If they got rid of the situational talents / abilities we used to have baseline and gave them back , it would be a great start. I miss havin Incap and Bash. >.< Sinking so many points into one CD feels terrible and LB needs moved up imo. I'm prolly not going to main it but it'll be my #1 alt, always is. I cant fully quit my bear. I love it too much. I just kinda put it on the shelf when Blizz neglects it.

      I have a similar fondness for bear and really hope it gets the attention other specs have been getting.

    i feel like the class tree suffers from having 4 specs to account for...since no one plays bear or cat they may as well recombine them

    • @lexiconprime7211
      @lexiconprime7211 Před 14 dny +3

      The first part of this I agree with. I'm not sure the answer is to recombine feral and guardian. They moved away from that for a very good reason that still makes good sense today. I'd suggest a more radical alternative: Make separate class trees for each spec. Start with 2, a dual cat/bear class tree, and a dual resto/balance tree. When you change specs, the talents on the class tree change too.

    • @gakhouse1636
      @gakhouse1636 Před 13 dny

      Also hard to do with resto wanting to cat weave (hate this play style), could work though and make resto do Boomie weaving which I'd find much more accessible, I'm too trash to try heal and cat weave lol@@lexiconprime7211

      @MrSherhi Před 12 dny +1

      Other class trees have basically the same dilemma but with 3 specs and have no issues whatsoever. Imagine if All warlock specs had to go through "Shadowbolt" (or "Curse of Agony") talent in their class tree even though its baseline iconic ability for Warlock, even destro would have to take it even though it uses incinerate and affliction would probably still talent into Drain Soul in its spec tree. This is the situation with Druids and things like Rejuvenation or Rake, Rip, Ironfur, Remove Corruption...jesus this list goes on and on :D
      I kinda understand they wanted to simplify druids spellbook maybe for new players, I dont know, but it doesnt work.

  • @lexiconprime7211
    @lexiconprime7211 Před 14 dny +1

    I'm not sure the argument to be made is "We should be able to get everything we want", because that logic doesn't work for the design goals of talent trees. I think a better way to word this would be that any defensiveness that bear requires to be on par with other tanks, and any talents that augment abilities that bears use in either build NEED to be easily obtainable. They cannot separate augments/defensives tied to Thrash if both builds value that ability equally. Additionally, talents below gate 3 I believe are meant to be difficult choices, but many of them seem to be sorely needed to both make bear feel good to play and keep it above the baseline needed for tanks to survive. At least one of them in my view (Pulverize) is not powerful enough when compared to others in its final row to be there. Move it higher. I agree with combining all of the Berserk talents. Separating them seems arbitrary and unnecessary. Finally, easing talent pathing by consolidating talents and doing away with certain 2-point talents by reducing them to 1 could help you guys tremendously.

    • @ThordrenekGaming
      @ThordrenekGaming  Před 14 dny

      Yeah that's a fair point, but for the sake of comparison Guardian has 18 points to spend in the capstone tier, Blood DK has 13. The difference in how the two trees feel to go through is pretty dramatic. The other tanks are kind of in between but the Guardian tree in general just feels very bloated.
      I think I agree with you though and the way you've phrased things is definitely more fair.

  • @zacharyiler136
    @zacharyiler136 Před 13 dny +1

    Seriously? The class treee is better? Your lost having to take. 3 pt node for throughout it and gained 3 2 pt nodes you are forced to take. The pathing in way worse and the ONLY benefit this new tree provides compared to the old one is letting us pick up decurse easier and 10% more dr on barkskin.
    That’s it. Otherwise it’s the same talents. They force us to pick up damage for fillers and 10% bear form health which they nerfed from the base kit so we are less strong without them. Going from 100-80 and being told you can spend talents to get back to 100 isn’t an improvement.
    Nothing done for the spec tree yet. Zero
    Hero talents are bland with little to not visuals or interaction. Have dead hero talents like 5 sec off pulverize. Have cat shifting that isn’t worth the GCD for damage and a moon bear that forces you to take a capstone that still does shit damage to function.
    Yea….. this is not ok

    • @ThordrenekGaming
      @ThordrenekGaming  Před 13 dny

      Oh I definitely am not trying to say that the spec tree is okay or in a good state, I'm just of the opinion that it feels even worse in the current state in Dragonflight. I did say that I believe it needs a full rethinking from the ground up and I stand by that. The spec tree likewise needs major changes.
      I do like what they've done with Elune's Chosen. I get that it's not as visually exciting as what some of the other specs are getting (though many are pretty visually underwhelming, at least among tank options), but the gameplay does feel pretty good to me. Getting to use Lunar Beam and feeling very strong while it's up is fun IMO.

    • @zacharyiler136
      @zacharyiler136 Před 13 dny

      @@ThordrenekGaming The hero talents function, ok, but they are barely interactive at all and just passive bonuses.
      Lunar Beam is the only on use, and it is buried at the bottom of the spec tree AND still does nearly no damage. It is a minor defensive boost on a relatively short CD, which is good, but needs more.
      Bear especially, but Druid in general, needs alot of work and I can only hope they get it before TWW.

  • @ninja24able
    @ninja24able Před 13 dny +1

    druid of the claw is BS, for it 2 be good you need to be doing more damage than an other tank by 30% or more, but thats not what you will get, it will do high tank damage, but not anything special, after a patch or 2 of no one using it, it will get buffed to do what it should have always been doing and if you are lucky you will get a patch where its the best dpsing tank, but probably not even that, in stead you will get the buffs to druid of the claws a few months into a patch and it will get nerfed b4 the next patch comes out.

    @drakkhisskaeren7593 Před 13 dny +1

    I totally disagree, What I hear you say is that you want everything combined so you can choose everything, instead of making your build specialized, I like the way they make you have to choose. Just being able to choose everything wouldn't be fun. Quit Min Maxing, Its a Game Not a Accounting Spreadsheet

    • @ThordrenekGaming
      @ThordrenekGaming  Před 13 dny +1

      I think adding in the actual numbers that I find frustrating would have helped for context. The redesigned Blood spec tree can take 10/13 talents in the capstone area. While you can't literally get everything, it feels like you have the freedom to take what you want. Guardian on the other hand can only take 10/18 leaving much of what you would like to have in most builds unavailable. Maybe this is a "grass is always greener" thing, but it feels bad when you can see other specs not having to omit very important talents from their builds.

      That's Why I don't play other specs, you cant customize to your liking, they don't have a choice, its here is what you get now go Play, With druid it is making the choices and customizing. playing around with what works for you and having fun playing your class, Not just looking at what makes number higher and Everyone has the same Talents because you only have a limited choice.
