In your opinion, do you think that, in general, the street foods in Malaysia are a bit more or less expensive than the street foods in Thailand?
Everything is more expensive than in Thailand.
Hotel rooms are almost twice more expensive than in Thailand, plus I’ve never seen that many “rooms with no window” anywhere else.
Respect and follow local customs. That's a winning approach that will make your journey more successful and win friends. You are an excellent ambassador Mickey!
I respect people who respect other culture/religion.
The porridge name is 'Bubur Lambuk', normally cook during fasting month given to the needy people by Muslims.
Welcome to Malaysia
I respect people who can accept other people for who they are and respect their culture. You are the man!!! 🙏
As a Muslim, you got my maximum respect 🔥✌🙏
The prayer call is called Adan
I'm glad to see you in a Mosque My respect for you increased when I saw you respecting Islamic values and fasting people and not eating in front of them.
Mickey, you always amaze me. Thank you
Allah bless you 🤲❤
Yeah, it's true. No one will say anything if you eat in front of the people who are fasting... Many times my fasting friends asked me to eat but I'm the one uncomfortable to do so in front of them while they are still fasting. Sometimes I'd just fast along with them and buka puasa with them too. It's quite a community feeling when you do take part.
I'm thai but I love Malaysian food people and to living there in the country side
this episode make me wanna comeback again in Perak.
same we like thai food too😊
But we like thai food🥲😭
As an American Muslim who constantly hears the name Muslim get mispronounced by everyone around me. Thanks for getting the pronunciation right lol love your videos and thanks for shining a light on Ramadan.
Pronunciation doesnt matter my brother, its the thought a.k.a. _niat_ that counts. Salam Aidilfitr.
@@asmrlova well said, you are correct. its just a breathe of fresh air for me
Assalamualaikum. Come to Malaysia. Explore together. Spend time Ramadan here. You will fall in love
huge respect to mickey who always respecting other culture / religion
You're the most Humble content creator I've ever seen may Allah bless you man❤️🇧🇩
Becoz he is Handsome Not Chocolate Africaan Arab 😱
The porridge is called Bubur Lambuk and it's a special Ramadhan delicacies only prepared during the month of Ramadhan. Most mosque in Malaysia will prepare this special porridge and will be given away free to anyone that comes to the mosque. It has been a tradition here in Malaysia for a long long time
Bubur lambuk..
You sure know how to respect other people’s culture Mickey….and that’s why people love you 😊 We enjoyed watching this video and thanks for sharing! We sure hope that you’re enjoying Malaysia:)
It's no wonder people watch your clips because you are well presented and friendly and the locals you meet are lovely too and that's why Thai people are looking forward to you too when you come back home. Your second back, thank you, have a nice day.
The people are so friendly it's a beautiful thing to see
That prayer is called Adzan/ Azan..❤❤
New subs here.. I stumbled upon ur page , because I'm dreaming about going in Malaysia soon InshaAllah .. but since i can't i fford it yet i love to see video like this , show casing other country up close, i envy how diverse malaysian culture also the availability of HALAL food there.. where is here in PHILIPPINES, unfortunately ..its very hard to find halal locally specially on streets ...muslim here is like minority.
..love how you interact with people and respecting theire custom ..you even waited to joined them in Iftar Mashallah.. more power to your page .. ❤❤❤❤ watching from Philippines 🇵🇭 💕 🎉
Malaysia is welcoming you😘
The ways you learned and shared information regarding Ramadan really blew my mind...
I didn't go to any Ramadan bazaars this year.I cooked by myself. I also save a lot of money. lol.
Cuz I can't stop myself from buying everything in the Ramadan bazaar that looks delicious. hahaha
that porridge u had, is called bubur lambuk. u are lucky enought to get that porridge from the masjid kg. baru. it's recipe already around 100 years tradition.
The corn curry is actually dhal curry 😅.. its made from lentils. Malaysian food is truly asia as we have been at the crossroad between East and West Asia since Mallacan empire. Various people from throughout the Malay Archipelago, Chinese, Indians, and even Sikhs, Arabs etc. settled down here. As a result our food is a mixture of Asian blend.
I always respect to those who cant speak english, but still tried to interact.
The call for the prayer is not a song. It is called adzan. The name of the porridge is Bubur Lambuk. Do come to Kelantan
Good to know. Thanks 🙏
@@edwardmail2u you're welcome
I have fasted everyday since January 2022 until now. I fast 20 hours and eat in a 4 hour window. Ive lost 50 pounds and only eat unprocessed food and low carbs. Best blood test results ever.
Window 12-4pm?
I eat between 3:00 - 7:00 pm which is called my 4 hour window and i fast 20 hours (7:00pm - 3:00pm) i don’t eat breads, pasta, rice, sugar
@@WilliamFluery I eat the same diet as you without the fasting (Keto) Contrary to all we’ve been told about “saturated fats” being bad, my cholesterol levels have never been lower 😊
Hey HungryMan! I am speechless!! You’ve given us some new experiences that some of us will never get the opportunities to see.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Glad I can share these experiences with you!
truly incredible ... brilliant Mickey in a wonderful city in an amazing country ... anticipating much more please !!!
Mickey has a good approach to traveling....respect the local customs. One kind of food in Malaysia that is a must-try is Nyonya food. Go for it, Mickey!
Hi Mickey, glad to know you travelling to my country..... I always heard you saying in Thai but I can not recall it, in English is "Not Spicy, not delicious" so in Malaysia you can say in Malay "tak pedas, tak sedap"
THANK YOU for the Malaysian translation !🙏
A call for prayer = Azan/Adzan
Name of prayer (every country will have it's own time)
Subuh/Subh/Fajar/Fajr = to be performed anytime starting from the moment of dawn (during Ramadan, the moment Azan performed, the clock of fasting start)
Zuhur/Zuhr = Mid-day
Asar/Asr = Afternoon
Maghrib = Sunset (during Ramadan, the moment Azan performed, the clock of fasting end i.e. Iftar)
Isyak/Isya'/Isha prayer = Night (during Ramadan, after this prayer, we have Tarawih prayer, non-obligatory prayer)
You are lucky. The bazaar ends after 1 month. Malay food at reasonable price in one place.
You could say no I'm Mickey Cena, John's brother haha.
Nice people all around, a busy but very enjoyable market, good video Mickey!
Wow, so much delish food stalls all over the market !😋 😍👍, the people are so friendly ! You are such a polite man, your respectful treatment of other cultures is remarkable, and giving a happy smile breaks down barriers ! ✌ I enjoy your great vlog 🍀 "terima kasih", Thank you Mickey 🙏💛
Huge respect to you Mickey… Welcome to Malaysia ! Great travelogues as always.

You are a polite man Mickey..Keep it up the good attitude 👍..Because of this we Malaysian wil subcribe your channel 🙌👏
The porridge is called bubur lambuk… nice👍👍👍👍
Awesome Malaysian food. Such a strong influence on our local cuisine in Southern Thailand. Gotta love it!
Not so strong influence from Thai, just a little bit..Most of Malaysian cuisines influence come from Malay, Chinese , Indian, Indonesian, Arabic, Portugese, British...... 😊
@@herryherry8659 She's saying that Malay cuisine has influenced Southern Thai cuisine a lot. We don't really influence you guys.
(Misunderstanding happens, and that's fine)
@@zachtonator9797 it's ok..i'm sorry too.. it because Southern Thailand near border to Kelantan, Kedah, Perak & Perlis states( Malaysia) & there is many Thai-Malay, some can speak Malay nearly similar to Malay Kelantanese dialect, Thai Malay also Muslim...if i'm not mistaken, long² time ago, some part of southern Thailand is under Kedah state ruler... If Malaysian citizens born or resident more than 1 year in the states of Kedah, Kelantan, Perlis & Perak(Pengkalan Hulu,Grik & Lenggong) they can apply for Border Pass.. This Border Pass is use to enter Southern Thailand(Satun Province, Songkhla, Yala, Narathiwat & Pattani) without to bring Malaysian passport... Anyway, I really love Tom Yam & Thai Green Curry, for now.
@@herryherry8659 I meant strong influence OF Malaysian cuisine ON our Southern Thai cooking. Even at our place (Samui) we're further away from Malaysian border we still have ingredients and dishes that have their origins further down south...

Really wonderful episode...can feel the emotional and energy you bring to us...go go Micky💪👍👍👍
Lodoicea,[4] commonly known as the sea coconut, coco de mer, or double coconut, is a monotypic genus in the palm family.
The Ramadan market looks delicious and so ALIVE!! So many people, so many vendors.❤
To get to know the city we need to go to its market. 🥰
Absolutely true!
amazing video brother! I love that you took the time to acknowledge what Ramadan is and the importance of it!
Love your respect for the culture of the country you’re visiting. New subscriber.
Welcome to Malaysia! Malaysia is a very colorful country with mix culture. Malay dessert usually is very sweet😅 but very flavourful. You may try Chinese and Indian which is different type flavour. You may try Chinese street food on the Wednesday huge night market at Taman Connaught. Have Fun in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

I'm still fasting today (the 6-day fasting in the month of Shawwal) and watching you devouring all the food makes me hungry lol
Bahulu and bubur lambuk (chic/meat) porridge my fav too glad you like it Mickey! 🎉
Wow, that song in the mosque 🕌. That was beautiful. I could feel the energy and it made me emotional.
Mickey, thanks for bringing us a glimpse of these different cultures and with your sensitivity to having respect when you do it. You're a good man! 👍
It’s the Muslim call to prayer and says something to the effect of I bare witness that there is only one god and I bare witness that Mohammed is his last and final messenger. Yes it’s a very powerful call and resonates with many, even those who do not know what is said
@@KingShaf7 appreciate it, thanks, King
@@jamessmith7205 & the called of prayer is called 'Adzan / Azan'
Beautiful Azan 🌹
Awwww u love murtabak. Same~~~~
Thank u for this wonderful video n for also showing your food explorations in KL.
Another fantastic video, thanks for sharing. Your respect for all cultures is such a pleasure to witness, thank you so much. We need more people like you, take care. 😊
Your videos captures the countries cultures but most importantly the food..nice!😃
