When you eat at these places you support the locals, which is a great thing and you get to taste some delicious authentic Mexican food for a fair price, instead of the overpriced stuff you get at the resort's restaurants.
Love your videos, Saludos from Mexico City! â
U are so right đ, love Mexican food love from the Philippines đ”đđđđ
The crunch on the empanada was incredible. Looked really good. Price is so right.
Churchhh , đŁïžâ đ€Ł
i love me a good empanada and these looked incredible.
I never fall into the trap of eating at the resort restaurant anything other than breakfast because most places offer the same menu based around eggs, oatmeal, toast, etc. Eating like the locals is where you'll get the real value and flavor of the culture.
It depends on your stomach. Some people easily get upset stomach just from the traveling, let alone trying new food, and street food at that. People who've tried different foods and can handle spicy foods don't have a problem. You do need a rather strong stomach to handle random street food. But yes absolutely the way to go if you can handle it. Some people travel around the world staying at nice hotels and resorts and eat and drink pretty much the same things they do at home. I don't get that.
@@jjryan1352 I really don't understand the point of travel if you aren't interested in local culture (which food is a huge part of), You could just stay at a nice hotel in your own city but I guess then you wouldn't be able to brag about it on social media.
@@Toastybees ahh yes I would like to go on holiday and eat.... my own food.
like so boring
i agree, i would much rather eat with the locals
@@jjryan1352 weak people problems
Tacos are supposed to be delicious and cheap. Way too many hipsters around my area trying to charge $4-5 for a single taco.
Right !!! đđ I rather go to MĂ©xico and get them freshly cooked
Kick over their food cart and go to a carnaceria. They commonly have a grill in the back serving fresh food from the butcher shop.
(I am being facetious, donât actually kick over anyones food cart all hulk style)
That's how much they are in San Diego, Ca. (they aren't even that good, mediocre at best)
@@muerte.eterno Lol seriously? Man the greed is real
@@chrisharuthai6045 its the cost of the food, thank beijing joe for that, dont blame us mexicans
The thing I miss most about living so close to the southern border is the Mexican food. Not the bastardized Tex-Mex, THIS kind of food. It was definitely a huge culture shock for me because I lived in Indiana. One of my coworkers took me to a ton of little stands, shops, and trucks for lunch when I got there and he basically ordered food for me. It made me pretty much a Mexican food snob afterwards.
I'm in Tennessee now and I'm lucky enough to have a couple Mexican markets right by me that cook up authentic Mexican food. I never have to dream about satisfying my craving, I just go do it. đ
When I started watching Anthony Bourdain years ago I just loved how he went off the beating path and introduced the world to food from all over the world. You my friend are taking that same path. Thank you and keep up the good work on your life and spiritual mindđ
I was hoping to see you dip the birria taco in the consommé!!! My heart is broken
Mexican food never disappoints.
Iâm Texan and so we have Tex-Mex that I grew up on, but THEN, I went to Cabo San Lucas and my life has never been the same lol, I knew I had seen the light, experienced the truth and I love the freshness of true Mexican food, and it never gets old since there are so many varieties based on region. Now Iâm blessed that my son in law is first generation Mexican American, his family is from Durango and his mama is THE best cook. I need to call her and just remind her how much I love her pollo!!!

One dollar per tacos for the first batch...amazing. I always try to make sure there are plenty of locals in any restaurants I visit. Did one in Hong Kong which sat 5000 people and myself and Brit colleague were the only non-Chinese. Once a waiter finally took pity on us and translated the menu it was amazingđđ. It's amazing that they leave all the sauces and condiments for customers to add onto their food, and there's not a single fly around or other bugs.
Flies are nature's health inspectors. If they're around it's because of nearby filth. Also the smoke from cooking helps keep them away.

Iâm regretting eating at all inclusive hotels đ©đ©đ© Iâll make sure to venture out for real authentic food next time! Everything looks so good and the people look so friendly đ„°
All inclusive resorts are to drink, not to eat. Wake up, have whatever mediocre breakfast they have, walk a bit, find a populated food truck, eat to your heart's content, walk back to the hotel and drink away the night. If you feel like having dinner leave the hotel once again, find another place to eat (your nose will guide you). Enjoy the stupid cheap delicious Mexican street food, go back to the hotel and have a couple drinks to ease digestion after having such a party of flavor going through your mouth. Rinse and repeat for as long as you stay.
Just make sure you get your doctor to prescribe you antibiotics and you have it filled out before your trip, just in case. I love street food but my lily white digestive system does not.

I used to eat at these stands everyday when I worked at a business behind the megamart, that empanada really is excellent.

Playa Del Carmen was one of my favourite places in Mexico. A friend and I rented an apartment not too far from here for a few months and got some spanish lessons while we were there. The food was amazing, across the road from where they are filming a trailer would show up at night and it was one of the best burritos i have ever eaten.
do you have the name of the place for the burrito you liked?
@@timb329 honestly i don't think there was a name on it, just a trailer that pulled up around sunset every night.
Where Sonny was I remember on the cart was name El Compa near avenue El Constitueneys or something like that. It's just outside the touristy zone. El Compa is the birria stand. It was the best one out in that place.
Thank you sunny for bringing the best food review to our everyday life's.
Always look forward to watching.

Hey Sonny, I've been a huge fan for about a year now. I know you're stranded in the US at the moment, and doing videos here. I'm wondering if you might find it interesting to do a video in New Mexico, where I grew up. The food is very specific, based on New Mexico chiles (the best in the world) and with some interesting variations. You could even spill it over into the Navajo reservation in NE Arizona. Just a suggestion, otherwise please keep going!
How is he stranded in the US? This video is literally from another country.
