- A swing aid that can be used multiple ways to help you generate top club speed.
Hey, Performance Golfers, Matt Walter here, at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. What is my new accessory? It's a new band. We're going to snap it away to impact. I'm going to help you learn how to get your lead leg moving back and up, stronger and better than ever before.
It's a long resistance band and we've attached it to our belt. So, we've tied that down. And this drill is going to put some force against our leg to want to make us collapse, so we have to strengthen our lead leg in order to get the sensation of pushing up and away. So, hopefully, by the time we take this band off, the freedom of having the band no longer attached to our leg will allow us to snap faster, creating a little bit better club head speed.

Great video, thanks. I have never heard of pulling my chest away, or sticking it out, whatever you call it. Makes so much sense. Same with watching great pitchers stick their chest out when delivering the fast ball. This is a big deal for me. Great instruction.
Awsome drill Matt.

Could you talk a bit more about timing this?
We sure can. What specifically are you confused about?
Performance Golf Zone what I mean is the timing of the feeling of pushing up with your legs.
Sorry, Looks like early extension
It does except when he actually hits the ball. It looks fine then
If you have an issue with early extension like I do, this is not the drill for you.
Early extension is your hips going forward and up. He is showing how to keep the hips back and up. Early extension is caused from swinging over the top.
This video made me unfollow PGZ
I get why you would say this....however, he's exaggerating a move that when done in the full swing accomplishes a goal. This is more complicated than it appears.
