    Your steering issue can probably be fixed by installing a new intermediate steering shaft and bearing, that should take care of the slop in the wheel instead of covering it up

    Whenever you and Satbir get the trucks situated there’s some rough terrain and good camping up Hwy 4 towards alpine county

    Change the shocks before installing the new torsion keys, after removing the old keys. No tension on the lower control arms.

    Put a set of airbags on the rear and it will sit level. When my air bags are empty it sets high in the front, and my key bolts aren’t even threaded half way in. With air bags at 40 lbs it sits high in rear. The bags alone give my truck over 3 inches of height adjustment in rear. I’m looking into the coil over front upgrade.

    • @Anth4044
      @Anth4044 Před rokem

      Question I have air bags also will I have to put blocks on the rear or Can I just leave the rear alone and use just the air in my air bags to raise it. Thank you 👍

    Make sure you get a front end alignment, and not sure cause wasn't long enough picture but it looked like the top mount on your steering stabilizer the one washer or cup for the rubber bushing was on wrong. Just what I thought I saw.

    Just FYI, at 11:11 you guys were saying the male bushing for the front shock could go either top or bottom, I used it on the bottom, opposite of yours and it is performing just fine.

    What you did with the blocks is right and wrong, I use kne jack and just loosen the nuts but not take them off. BUT LEAVE THE WHEEL UP THERE the just put the jack up on the leaf springs take ubolts off and put the block in.

      2wd. Trucks don’t use keys and torsion bars. They use coil springs.
