The player isnt in control of who dies, Chara is. She wont allow any mercy options to be fully successful, if you pick mercy you get a betrayal kill but no xp. Remember this Chara is stronger than most, and can completely take over Frisk at will

When Sans said: “There’s two of them?” It reminded me of Sqidward saying that in a Spongebob episode.
From a writing standpoint, I have a few gripes with the final confrontation here. Ignoring the smaller things like how this isn't a true pacifist run when you're at level 7, Sans turned the leaf seriously fast. When I imagined a mercy Dusttale fight, I imagined it being almost impossible, trying to spare over and over again for an extremely long time, but I suppose you can't have that in a story where chara forces you to attack. Idk, it was just a bit disappointing to me. The attacks were all very.. Generic, idk why Sans had Asgore's trident, or why Chara had the power of the human souls, but none of the attacks really seemed that difficult. Regular sans' attacks are much harder to dodge than this. And I realize that having done this alone is fucking incredible, and that coding super interesting and difficult attacks is not something to take lightly, but I'm just saying how it made me feel. From a game design standpoint it's amazing that someone was able to do this, from a story/viewing standpoint it's an okay game. Idk, just wanted to get my feelings out on it. Seriously though, this must've taken an insane amount of effort, and amount I would never be able to produce. So I'm in awe about that. I just wanted to give some (hopefully) constructive criticism. and if it didn't come across like that I'm truly sorry. Still an enjoyable watch!

And the video description doesn’t state that this is a true pacifist. True Pacifist in Dusttale is impossible since Chara has more control than even the player does. You already saw the first mercy attempt, Chara made it pretty clear that neither the player or Frisk have any control over what’s going to happen to these basic monsters. Sans had Asgores Trident because Sans killed him. We can assume that Sans killed plenty of monsters off screen including Undyne, so he probably took any weapons he could find. Remember, Sans was preparing as much as possible to kill the human. As for Chara using the power of the other 6 souls… What? At no point do the other 6 souls make any appearance during her fight, and I’m saying her because Chara generally seems more feminine in terms of facial features whereas Frisk seems more masculine. But no, Chara doesn’t use the other 6 souls. She uses their weapons, but it’s Chara so it’s fairly obvious why it makes sense.
As for Sans attacks, Sans is far harder when you follow through with the genocide since Sans stops toying around and the fight lasts much longer. You seriously should’ve watched both routes before making that part of your comment because it blatantly makes no sense.

Yes, this is a true pacifist run
You are forced to kill all the monsters you encounter or Chara will do it for you
Hitting Chara at the end is not technically a hit, as you have to to beat the game (for example sans throws you against walls, which doesn't affect no hit runs)
This is as pacifist as it gets in dusttale 👍

When I think about it, a pacifist run is the cruelest option to choose in this game. Sans had to go through hell and sacrifice his sanity in order to stop you, just to be denied of his efforts.
Yeah but it also gives sans a better life In the next reset possibility.
Over all the best option would be genocide. But the pacifist only gives a Benefit for frisk really.

So this is essentially understanding what your enemy's like, understanding their past, by basically being in their shoes.
Sans was gonna snap eventually sooner or later. He remembers the resets ,327 to be exact and he was stuck in a endless loop where he was forced to relive the same events and things over and over .
Imagine being in his place, watching everyone you know and love die by someone who has the power to control your world and no matter what you do you are powerless to stop them. That's not even the worst part - you remember the routes of your timeline and all you can do is hope that it doesn't repeat again . And you know that it won't matter as it will be all reset .
It must be really awful for Sans to live like this . Stuck in a mess he can't get out of or change it permanently

Why was chara so easy to beat? I would think that, considering she literally ERASED the entire world in Undertale, she would be harder than freaking TORIEL.

I think it could be a good little game if the story was more fleshed out. Like they're mumbling so much about redemption and forgiving, even though they kill Chara who was/is also just a person corrupted by Frisk/the player itself. That's just an example.
@ANIME_IS_LIFE ___ Doesn't mean Chara was evil. Remember, Chara had a reason for hating humans, like seriously, wouldn't kindness and love be new for you when they treated you like shit back then? It's safe to assume Chara was an abused child. A child can be easily emotionally broken, I saw proof of that, it can affect alot the way they act themselves. Also, remember that they're almost undoubtedly the narrator for your entire run. Even in Pacifist, Chara is the one who reminds Asriel who he was. I won't start

Hun Lepto It’s not safe to assume Chara was abused. Just because someone hates humans doesn’t mean they were abused by them. Chara didn’t have to remind Asriel of anything, the souls inside him made him feel emotions again and his childhood memories resurfaced.
The game text box glitches at 22:20 and 22:30. Also at 45:58 the game glitches as the result the SOUL hitting the bone does not be damaged.
No its a thing called Inviciblity Frames after the red box so the player can adjust and not get hit
