I found this link very helpful. My sound issue is on the one side of the speaker, and my original Mercedes sounds fine on both sides of speakers. I called him, and he kindly took my call and patiently answered all my questions (even though I was not his customer yet). He knows what he is doing and is very knowledgeable about Android screens for Mercedes. He suggested I check the aux and audio cord first to see if the wire and connector are ok when I meet my technician this weekend. I am so impressed by his professionalism. I highly recommend him! Helped me out and got my sound working thank you a lot but the issue I am having is I get the ntg5 menu and the android menu all working with sound But... the ntg radio is not detecting any channels fm or dab any ideas?
Do you have an upgrade to the navigation speaker for the android 11? Speaker is very distorted if I turn it up load enough to hear it better.

Just fixed mine watching this video. Thnx alot. I'm also having issue with call connection. Caller and receiver can't hear anything. Removed previous Bluetooth and so phone connection from car and still can't hear anything. Please help.

I have spent literally hours trying to car play loaded up with this screen. Once I did, the sound didn’t work !!! Nearly cried.
I must say though, it all just seems way to complicated this screen and using Apple phone.
I wish you could plug the usb cable in … Apple play pops up and boom you’re in .. like every other car screen.

I have bought a similar screen from navifly for my mercedes e350 2009. Ntg4.0 i also have an sound problem and when i want to select aux in de original radio the screen starts to flicker. I aslo whent in to the factory settings and aux is on and automatic aux is also on. The manufacturer brand is navifly. I hope that you can help me😊

Really good video, tried all 4 but nothing happened, so I did a factory reset and it worked, so if all 4 options don’t work for you, try the 5th option ‘factory reset’

I dont understand. Where did you find for 1st step aux plug? I have only aux (mother) for my phone in my glove box.
And when I install my Android screen my AUX becomes inaccessibles for my phone and in Engineering mode of mercedes.

The male end of the aux should be connected to the wiring harness on the android screen.
I have a small issue where the audio and video are not synchronized when I play videos from CZcams or using HDPlayer. The audio is consistently delayed by about 2 to 3 seconds compared to the video. Is there any way to fix this?
Depending on which NTG version you have, there may be an adapter to help correct any audio delay experienced via Bluetooth.
Anyone know how to access fast boot on this screen on Android 10? I cannot find the option anywhere??
Hey I have the same problem but I don't have an aux option only media interface. When I select it no sound
I think you can go to Factory settings -> Vehicle -> Activate Aux. This should show AUX option Mercedes menu. You might also have to enable Function -> AUX. Not 100% sure. Give it a try.
Under audio in your factory screen there should be AUX on that list. You need to pick aux and then make sure you have aux set to manual switching in order to keep it from moving around to other audio sources....
When I click on the car app so I can go to the old system and change the audio to AUX the app gives me a no signal.
Any idea ?
Also the NTG setting are not similar the video since it might a different brand. The NTG settings are more like a resolution number.

Did you check to see if your car has fiber optics? It usually means you didn't move your fiber optics cable to the new harness....
I have a question, I will receive this screen this week, but my ntg 4.0 radio starts off on radio instead of aux or bluetooth every time I reenter and start my car. Will this screen be able to start off from aux instead of radio every time?
Not 100% sure if this will help you as i don't have the screen yet but in another video they showed a option in the factory settings to remember your last screen when turning the car on...I would look into that.

None of these 4 worked for me and what is interesting is that - I do have sound coming out from the AUX out from the Android. I know that because if I hook up an external speaker it works. What is interesting that the moment I plug AUX out to the Car no sound and when I use the MB to 30 pin old iPod connectors the moment the system starts the iPod says Okay. to Disconnect which in my view would mean that the car simply CUT the AUX in connection and is expecting nothing to be going in that way which in my view seems like it is an config issue with NTG somewhere. Ideas?
I just bought a 2011 Mercedes E 350 with a DMP and it keeps dropping blue tooth connection. Additionally, when I plug my iPhone with the USB, it keeps saying it’s not connected. I have tried several different cables and 2 different. Do you know of any Dealer in either Austin Texas or San Antonio Texas where I can take it in to have checked or repaired?
Hi. Make sure you are paired ONLY to the androids Bluetooth connection. Not the Mercedes. If you are connected to both, they can interfere with each other.
Also try a reset (5 second pin press to the upper hole on the left edge of the screen)

How do you get the command unit back in place ? All the cable behind it, is stopping me putting it back in
Trial and error. Move the wiring to the sides and tuck it down low as much as possible. Use some force when pushing the radio back in place.

Hey there everyone I bought a 2012 c250 cdi c204 and when it arrived it has no sound or reverse camera the camera doest work but you can select reverse and the lines show up but no pic. The sound system has no sound but everything else works. I think its a Android 8.1
I have 2 questions? 1) How do you get the original car navigation to be in full screen without it being split. The configuration is different. 2) How do you get the DVR to work where as you can see the video on the monitor

When using Zlink for wireless CarPlay: every time I get a call, I have to switch the output sound on my phone to Mercedes Benz Bluetooth. When I wander a call on the screen within CarPlay, people can hear me but I can’t hear them. Do you recommend an add on microphone when using zlink car play?
Finally my issue is resolved! It was as simple as clearing my blue tooth. Making sure MB Bluetooth was disconnected and media set on aux. Only the Android Bluetooth connected. And it worked! I can finally answer call on the touch screen or steering wheel and hear the caller perfectly. No external speaker required. DMP CarDesign we’re I bought my Android screen from provided excellent customer service to resolve this issue.

Hi, is this for all audio? Music and phone calls? Or just one audio source with this issue?
@accessoriesinternationalin6358 i got it fixed. It was all audio and it turned out to be a faulty connection on the wire harness. Black corner wire in the small box it connects to a small chip. Relatively simple fix even for my novice (frankly sh*t) soldering skills. It also cleared up the radio interference issue.
Side note theres a yellow wire on the main part of the after market harness that harness the same issue, that one is power.
I get no sound from my Waze or google maps. I get sound if I play music on CZcams, Videos and ITunes

I have a NTG 5.0 and have the aux to usb converter, occasionally I have to unplug the USB port in the center storage compartment and plug it back in to get AUX to come up again. Any tips?
I’d start with replacing the adapter.

12.3 Inch Android 12 Touch Screen in audi a7 no sound radio knob don't work
Only issue with my DMP Android touch screen while in carplay mode cannot hear caller when I answer call. However, caller can hear me perfectly. No issues with music sound, using sirius to read back or send text messages.
I have the same problem. The NTG Mercedes Menu does not have a AUX function. I have a 2008 S Class and I am so disappointed bez everything else works except sound out. I only hope there is a solution for this. I am in Melbourne Australia pls try to help me too
@@jeremybarrington1622 Only issue I had on my Android screen when answering call I could not hear caller but they could hear me. My Mercedes is a 2016 E400 with the NTG 5.1 system. My Android screen kit came with a small audio aux which connects to my vehicles USB port. Other end connects to the kit harness. If you check my CZcams video (Mercedes Benz E400 Mods - 12 3 Android Touch Screen) I show how the audio aux is installed. Once everything is installed make sure you select aux on the media select button. Then on your phone make sure MB Bluetooth is turned off disconnected. Only Bluetooth device that should show on your is the Android. Once I made sure that MB Bluetooth was disconnected my issue was resolved! Now I can answer call on my Android screen and hear the caller.
Thanks for the reply. It’s a bit hi tech for me. I tried finding a after market CarPlay installer but seems very hard. I will keep looking for someone who I can take it to have the AUX installed. I will show them your advise. Thanks heaps for your help

There is an additional fix....if you have fiber optics you may have not moved your fiber optics cables to the new harness that plugs into the command box.
All audio is working except for receiving calls.
I can make calls fine but if I receive a call the person cant hear me but I can’t hear them.
Any help would be appreciated.
I have a Road Top unit, and I have the same problem as you assuming that you can't hear the caller but the caller can hear you.
My Road Top is able to play music and others via bluetooth, but no audio when making phone calls via bluetooth to the unit.
Road Top told me that I have to install a small speaker that came with the unit. I haven't try that yet.

@@DeYiYu1 Thanks for the reply. All the audio is working fine I can even make calls without a problem.The only issue I have is no sound when receiving a call. In apple CarPlay or the normal Android interface. I’m connected via AUX AIM the supplier has suggested deleting the bluetooth and reconnecting it so going to give that a try
So I’ve managed to figure it out.
If you still have the OEM Bluetooth connected it stops the audio from the incoming call. I’ve now removed the connection between my iPhone and the cars OEM Bluetooth and everything is connecting and working fine.
@@garystubbs7241 Thanks for the update Gary. I have tried disconnecting from the OEM bluetooth (removed from both car and phone), but still no sound. I talked to the seller, and she said it's because I need to install a mini speaker (came with the box). Reason was because calls and nagivation sounds are routed to the mini speaker and not car's speaker. Not sure why that's the case.

We can still support you, but in order to spend the time to solve issues from a product not bought through us, we have to charge for the time spent. Well my issue isn’t this really it’s more like the audio keeps going in an out like if there was an interference

Simply means you have no Rear camera connected , or if so , it's Not connected properly.
I have the factory camera connected it pops up on the screen the lines but you can’t see anything but I still can’t hear anything when I put it to the car
@@durangojay7350 well, I have my camera connected to right now, and it shows lines on the right side, but No Video, becasuse I haven't fully connected my rear camera to power and ground, only the the front wires are connected so far. You don't see static or fuzzy screen at all? No signal on display? what's on left side and right side of screen?

Hey Everyone, So About a month ago I got an Installed the 12.3" Android Screen From DMP Design, I did the Full Install myself and everything went smooth and fine at first except I heard a buzzing noise in the background, so I bought a Ground Loop Isolator off Amazon and that took care of my problem completely, but here about 1 week I've noticed that when listening to my Samsung S10+ , or My iPhone 7Plus, using my audio, Spotify, or Pandora the quality of the Audio seems kinda distorted and I cannot figure out why for the life of me!!! I haven't changed any settings at all. I don't have Bass up crazy, I can put my ear down to door speaker and up to tweeter and its deff distorted badly. but call me crazy, it seems to come and go sometimes I travel it seems fine, but most times it sounds bad to my ears, Others may not notice as badly as I do, But I can hear clear as day. It's only when I use android auto , or apple auto connect. if I connect the mobile hotspot and use my data from phone and connect Spotify, pandora, my music, It's perfect sound, so I'm so confused. Does anyone out here have any ideas as to why or what could be causing this problem??? Thanks, I haven't checked the factory settings on the Screen settings yet. when I switch back to factory radio and CD audio it sounds Fine too. only Android Auto/Apple Auto, which is how I normally connect mostly it seems easiest to do. 2014 W204 C300
Had this exact same problem. I figured out how to address it: go to volume in the settings and change all 4 settings just slightly. You will hear the audio self adjust and the distortion go away. Mind you if it comes back you will have to do it again. I have to do it weekly but it works. Lol

@@accessoriesinternationalin6358 If I'm just hearing a whining noise , or light humming noise say if I hit pause or between tracks, at first it didn't bother me, but now my ears are tunned in a lot more and I hear it more clearly now as they have adjusted, not sure why or what is causing this, I turn volume up it gets louder while paused. Would a Ground Loop Isolater take care of this problem connected to my 3.5mm AUX cable inline to my AIM Cable, I also have 2 AIM cables, I haven't tried only 1 so far too. Any more ideas guys?????
