0:13 You will need a t10 torx and a small flathead
0:20 Carefully pry loose the SID
0:31 The cable connection is mounted with bracket and needs to be detached in a certain angle

1:22 Remove the 2 screws that holds the plastic lid in place
1:50 Carefully pry loose the lid with the torx
2:17 Remove the buld with the flathead
2:50 Reinstall the plastic lid and the 2 screws
3:28 Reinstall the cable connection and gently push back the SID until you hear it click into place
3:35 If a LED doesn't work it is turned the wrong way and you need to turn it around

Great video! My bulbs are currently blacking out on the SID and instrument cluster, so just oredred a ton of led's to replace them with! This video helped ALOT though :D Thanks!

I've done the same thing on my 1998 Saab 9-3 SID & ACC. The T4.7 Neo Wedge LEDs that I used are brighter and while they do dim significantly with the dimmer, not all the way to off. With the dimmer set to lowest light, the (original incandescent) bulbs behind the speedo are barely even lit, and the LEDs are at the same brightness as the original bulbs would be at 50% brightness.
Incidentally on an original-generation 9-3 the ACC screen is lit by a 501 / W5W wedge bulb, the same as is used in the front sidelights. I put a bright yellow one in mine to make the ACC screen the same colour as my aftermarket radio backlight
