I love this song, but it definitely was written by a 15 year old lol. There's only 2 chords played back and forth the entire song, and the chorus is repeated 4x with the bridge being "how I'd love to say" 2x over. It is simple, but it's part of why I've always loved this song.

Its hard to believe State Champs aren't classified as emo cuz this song is very emotional. It gets to me every time. I just watch this vid and cry my eyes out and I'm a 24 year old dude. This song is very good and deep AF. I love State Champs and have been for a long time now since I saw them at Warped Tour a couple years ago and it was very magical they performed this song and my heart just melted. State Champs puts out high quality non acoustic songs but what's even higher quality is the acoustic songs like this one and Secrets (Acoustic). I love you guys State champs you guys helped me get thru a lot in my life and i'm deeply grateful for that.

I have this feeling that some State Champs songs are intertwined in a single story explained through multiple songs. If I'm Lucky comes first, with the ending of a relationship, then Elevated, the aftermath of the ending of the relationship, and All You Are Is History is last, which symbolizes the not getting over the aftermath.

I'm definitely not a fan of Acacia (that doesn't mean that I hate her), but I'm not going to be upset and hate on/stop supporting State Champs just because they featured her in this music video. If the fact that Acacia is in this video is the only reason why you don't like this song/video/band anymore, then that's honestly so pathetic. If you just set aside your negative feelings that you have for Acacia for just 4 minutes and 18 seconds, you will see that this video is put together very well and extremely cute. The meaning of the song is displayed perfectly through this video. I just want to say great job to State Champs, Acacia, Kyle Thrash, and everyone else who was involved in the making of this music video!
