I think the Harbor looks great as pure LEGO. If this was a dedicated water MOC, like an island or underwater or something, I think having a real water feature would be pretty interesting. But, with this just being a harbor on the side of the city, I think it would be a lot of effort to create a small feature.
We have the same profile pic! Crazy
Yeah and the problem is water will go stagnant and smell over time
Man I must say, yours is one of the best city related content on CZcams, the details are just amazing
Whole heartedly agree
hold on, don’t forget about ft minton, other than that i agree
hold on, don’t forget about ft minton, other than that i agree
Pietro you are forgetting Bricksie
@@Malachi-Budke obviously is futile to compare this kind of content, but on a purely subjective level this city meets my ideal of I have a buckload of money to spend on lego
You are so dedicated to Lego. I can't believe that you have two different channels in two different languages you're amazing. Thank you
His english is really good.
@@CT-hr9nk he studied English
That fishing boat is nuts. It looks so beautiful. Nicely structured and perfectly detailed.
As cool as real water would be the hue you have w/ trans blue tiles over black looks so good, esp with the new white caps ! Best city channel out there hands down
That fishing boat MOC would be a great Lego Ideas submission.
Maybe adding a 2x1 light blue plate under certain flat tiles would help make the water more realistic, like, adding some small wave i mean
I love the Lego City inside the Lego City, just like Miniaturwunderland did as well.
Such a brilliant idea by Jonas, and the model is heartwarmingly accurate.
Well done, that man. 🙂
Someone's seen the German video :D
@@Brick_Crafts Hope I didn't spoil anything No wait, we'll call it cross-promotion.🙂
Thank you. Even here under a video with no mention of my build. :D
If you want to add more variety to the harbor you might be able to add a pier coming from the top section, possibly just the vertical elements if you don't want the deck of the pier blocking the lower section of the harbor.
The ship is spectacular! Maybe adding some birds or buoys as well would help to diversify the water, or even a shark fin of some sort.
I'm emotionally invested in this Harbor Moc and it's unsettling.
😂 You crack me up Ross!
Your dedication is incredible. The way you consider suggestions and criticism with experimentation and explanation not only makes the channel much more engaging, but really represents good character. The water idea might be one of the most far-fetched and easily dismissed suggestions yet, but to actually test and show the results really demonstrates your care for input.
I recommend adding pieces too make the waves look 3d. Like add small clear ramp pieces on the side walls and beside the ships. and maybe pieces in the middle of the water to make the water look like its moving more.
WHOA that boat looks insane!!! ❤
Insane enough for Lego Ideas?
Realistic boats can be so difficult to design and build, I really like your design. It's gorgeous.
I'm not sure why people are asking about real water, I think the clear trans blue looks great.
A plaza or a town square would be a good idea for the empty space at the upper right! And some underground canals at the bottom so that the harbor can still continue inwards
the amount of detail in this city is insane, it feels like a real city
Would you consider maybe a historical site to the left in the new location? An old castle with modern scaffold would look very nice with the cottages I think as well as be very interesting
If you want to add real water you could fix the ship to the bottom of the harbor with a few translucent bricks so it doesn't sink and just have it raised to the water level.
I know you won't change to real water, but an idea that could make the boats float, can be the use of supports, plates at the bottom of the water tank, and trans-2x2x1 cercles attach to the plate and the boats. You might be able to see them trough the water, but it can be an idea to make them float.
Otherwise, really nice moc!
Love to see how much more recognition your getting, makes me happy knowing the hard work your putting in is paying off! Keep up the amazing work 🔥
The boat is stunning! So impressive! I love the white water where the waves break in the harbor, maybe some breaking waves around the base of the ship would look nice? Always looking forward to updates!
That boat... it's really amazingly good, you have such a good eye for detail.
Rarely we get to see something so beautiful and detailed built this big aswell. The fishing boat is amazing! What a great source of inspiration this channel is. Thank you!
This is one of if not the best looking Lego city I've seen on CZcams
That ship is a beautiful build! And the result of the waves and bubbles in the water turned out very nice and realistic! So cool!!
Incredible ship build
i know this is an older vid but i love coming back to the harbor builds. the ingenuity is amazing. i agree that theres much more skill in creating your own builds rather than putting the kits together. i just love the idea of this big sprawling never finished city. its so detailed and so beautiful!
with the water you could put clear bricks under the boats to support them and make the boats look like it’s floating
"This is getting out of hand" is exactly what I said when I bought my latest Lego set. But I still can't get enough.
I've been watching both Bob Brickman and Brickcrafts to see the differences and other parts that may not be mentioned in one video but the other (like what I believe is a Lego City Basement with a lego city in it). My German learning is still quite basic, but it is a goal to speak it one day. Great video(s). Thanks lots.
The basement is a moc a viewer made of his old layout in the cellar of his parents' home. We are getting close to 2 years where it isn't there anymore
@@Hendricus56 Ah, cool. Thanks for informing me.
This is getting out of hand now there are a lot of awesome videos on this channel, keep up the great work! I hope to have a city like yours one day
Look out for any old industrial sites that might come on the market. Old factories tend to have large open factory floors which would be ideal to a large lego display.
This whole thing has inspired me to make a city of my own! It doesn’t look great.. but it’s coming together! Awesome build of yours, love the boat!
Spectacular!! ❤
Assuming you really wanted to try the real water idea, if I was going to attempt it, and this is just a suggestion based on my own idea, I would use plexiglass to create a shallow, less than a centimeter deep, pan to cover the entire area that would include the water. Basically a bottom and sides, then coat it with something like Flex-All to waterproof and seal the seems. In this case, I'd suggest brushing it in so as to give it texture and the visual effect of ripples or waves because that shallow of a pan is not going to look like a deeper harbor if there's no forced visual effects.
Next, I would add a small pump to create slow water movement/flow through the pan because stagnant water can develop issues, such as algae growth. Plus, it'll help with the visual effect of making it look deeper than it is. The pump will have an intake and an output tube, place the output tube at the furthest location away from the main focal point of the harbor area, and the intake tube at the opposite side of the harbor, that will add to the flow effect by circulating the water better. You can easily hide the tubes under the dock or inside something.
You could try placing a sunken Lego plate like your current "water" plate in the bottom of the pan to add to the depth effect, plus that would allow you to secure smaller boats in place, so they don't float around on you. But larger boats, like your fishing boat should be heavy enough to sit in the water without floating and without tipping, but still appear to be in the water.
Again, just an idea, something off the top of my head, just trying to be helpful.
I hope you realize you’re literally an artist. And a very talented one at that
Wow! It brings back so many memories of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. Looking absolutely fantastic!
Incredible!!!
Awesome!
mind blowing!
These videos are the most amazing thing ever. This is what I aspire to do someday, but nothing compares to the quality of these videos. I am obsessed with this series! ❤👍👍
Amazing ALL the projects!
Once again it looks great!

You did an absolute fantastic job on that fishing boat!! Your entire Lego city blows my mind and honestly I would love to start a Lego city of my own. After finding your channel I haven't been able to stop watching your videos. Thank you for many hours of enjoyment!!
Incredible
Go for it man! A t belie die how much you’ve grown during these last 2 years! You got me and a few other loyal fans from Singapore!
This is insane !!! What a build ! You are, by far, one of the best (the best ?) creator here on CZcams ! Congrats !
2:16 i love how spongebob is just chilling on top of one of those boats lol
The fishing boat is incredible! You could even have the fishermen selling fresh catches to locals
I'm not that much into Lego, not do i care that much in general but I'm a fan of the channel because it's awesome, it's a form of art. Thank you for doing this! You really give me hope in mankind in general
I love it!
The work you have done on the boat with all the strings etc. is absolutely marvelous !
Looks great man!
Fantastic

The city must be completed ✊
Great build, everything looks amazing!
Such an impressive boat!!
Beautiful work
Very nice boat. Your city looks lovely 👍👍👍
The functions of the fishing boat are great. Well done!
This looks amazing!
To change the harbor wall up a bit: many historical harbor towns have metal plates on harbor walls marking serveral historical stuff like how far the water ever rose, some important events (where a pirate was killed, vikings landed to raid, romans doing stuff, etc. )
its a small detail but even something this small adds life
That boat is soooo cool! And thanks for the update on future plans!

I love you and your work! So amazing I can’t help but watch every video of yours. Cant wait to see the next one ❤
First, add keel weight and then use the vintage technique of rubbing crayon between the bricks befor you connect them to make it watertight.
Your city is looking incredible!
The boat is incredible! Nice job dude!
brilliant designs man
You are the best man keep the good work up
