Hi Jan, I'm an EU citizen from Croatia, and I moved here about 4 months ago. I am wondering if I should get a temporary residency permit, do I even have any benefit with it? I am not sure how long I will stay, it could be for years, so I'm wondering about the pension as well, if it affects it if I never applied anywhere (I am a freelancer)? I also saw we should go to the police within 30 days if we intend to stay longer than 3 months, but I did not know that before I was here already 3 months, and none of my expat eu friends did that as well. What do you think?
Thank you very much for your comment! I would love to answer, I receive so many comments these days though, that I can not answer all the comments personally. Hi Jan! thanks for the great information, I am wondering if I could move in with my fiancé. ( who lives in Czech, I am an American citizen) what is the easiest way to be able to do so, would it be applying for a long-term residency permit or long-term permit and applying for a long-term residency permit after.?
Hey! It depends on where is your fiancee from. If she is Czech, the partnership visa might be the best solution: movetoprague.com/partnership-visa-temporary-residence-permit-for-family-members-of-eu-citizen/ :)
Hi Jan!!
First of all thank you for sharing so much informative information,
Here is my scenario- if I have a PR and having Indian citizenship along with that I have a remote job which allow me to work from anywhere , if I want to stay in India for 10 month in a year and come back in Czech Republic for 2 months in that year and continue to repeat that process every year due to my parents, in that case am I eligible to retain my PR and I will keep my residence address along with my brother who is staying here . Thank you in advance .
Technically it's possible (you can be pit for up to one year). Hard to imagine you would get Czech citizenship like this though at some point.
Hello. I am potentially interested in relocating my family from the US to Czechia. It would be a sophisticated process I'm sure. But what steps would I need to take? How would I get a job? Where would I live?

Hi Jan, can I switch to other purpose of stay (i.e working) after I complete my Masters degree with the long term resident permit?
The best in such case would be going for job seeker residence permit first and then either business residence permit or an employee card.
@@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert Thank you for the response. I will like to know how long can I stay in Czech with the job seeker residence permit please? I really want to stay back and work in Czech after my Masters degree.
@@Haryothosyn 9 months :) Then you can switch to an employee card or a business residence permit :)
Zdravim 👋 I’m a British citizen in a relationship with a Czech citizen living in the UK, looking to move to France on a Czech residence permit…Would Airbnb 6 months be okay for proof of residence ? Kind regards
Dobry den! I believe I answered this during the livestream on Monday? :)

Recently, I got a postdoc offer from Palacký University Olomouc. I want to apply for a visa appointment, so please let me know the official formalities on this subject.
However, could you provide me with the entire procedure regarding this subject?

hello , thank you for the video but I have question my wife she`s slovakian and I want to apply for Permanent Residence Permit , does she need Permanent Residence Permit as well ? or can i apply also if she has temporary Residence Permit in the Czech republic ? I'm really do not understand this point and in the immigration office they told me i can apply after 2 years of temporary Residence (I'm living here already 3 years) but on the website it is written i can apply after 5 years .
Hey! If your wife was Czech or had a PR here already, you could apply for your PR after 2 years. If she is Slovak without PR, it is five years.
@@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert thank you so much

Hello,
I want to ask you a question please.
My daughter completed her 3 years bachelor(2019-2022) in Prague and now she will get her work permit there within a month.
As a parents me and my wife both visited to Czech from April to June this year and now we both wish to stay and live together with my daughter for long term visa for a one whole year or more.
We have the only one daughter.
Please help us how can we stay forever together in Czech.
Hey Manish! I understand your wish to live with your daughter. Unfortunately, there is no way (I would know of) to get you both here under family reunification. If you want to move here, you will need to go througj some of the standard visa procedures - employee card, busienss visa etc.
@@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert Thank you so much for your reply.
As we both are 53 years of age so how can we get employee card or business visa for Czech?
Let me know, please.
@@manishpu25 Well, it depends on you nationality (i.e. for example people who have to apply in India basically have very small to no chance of applying for anything other than a student visa). Generally though, you first need to get a job offer from a Czech company or prepare a reasonable and solid business plan.
@@jankalina-CzechVisaExpert ok fine, thank you.👍

Nope, can not be extended, can not be switched to anything else other than a Blue Card.
