Mariner 150hp diagnose and set timing

Our friend Tim is working on restoring a Stratos boat. He brought it over the first time and it had no fire. Tim took it back home and got the stator, trigger, switchbox and new coils. Its firing good now. In this episode we set the timing. However the second set up carbs the float was stuck.
Tim took it back home and is going to clean the carbs again.

Wow that Mariner is basically the same thing as my 1986 Black Max 150. Thats wild I could literally put the graphics from my Black max and put them on that Mariner. Is that thing black? They are suposse to be gray I thought. My serial # comes up Mercury/Mariner on my black max.

Mariner was the Mexico Mercury brand. Its the same.

@@anthonysarizonacleaningser3629 Check your timing for the WOT and is this a carb or efi? If its efi you might look into cleaning the fuel injectors if its carb the link and sync with carbs and timing might be off.
