I don’t have kids but when I was in my early 20s. I was doing the big brother program and had the chance to be the big brother to an amazing kid named Brandon who was in a wheel chair and had Down syndrome along with other disabilities. He couldn’t really speak but he could understand most words. So I took it upon myself to do sign language with him and for the 4 years we were together, it was an amazing blessing in my life. I don’t have kids but I’m 33 now and I still hangout with little kids and try to be a positive influence in their lives especially when they don’t have other siblings or a dad. But the way you are with coop and how you are raising him is amazing to watch. Thanks for sharing your story online for the world to watch.
You're absolutely awesome. It's nice to hear about the Big Brother idea excists. I see an episode of the Simpsons when Homer and Bart do the older Brother project. I don't think we have anything like that here in UK. It must have been a great 4 year's. Do you still keep in contact?
I have ADHD and my Son Max also has ADHD and Autism. We absolutely love this kind of book that lets everyone know about different wonderful people. Fantastic work, Beth, and the illustration of Cooper is spitting. Thank you so kindly. Love from London.
yes Cooper is so cute
