Where did the cutoff date of 11/15 to apply to take BEC come from? I made an epic mistake following the advice from this video and thinking I had until early November to apply for BEC. Most jurisdictions have a cutoff of 10/1/23 which I just found out the hard way after spending more time than I want to think about studying.

It’s based on your state. I think it’s just to apply for the exam but once you’re registered with your state, you can retake it before the 12/15 deadline.

12/15 is the last date for testing bec. 11/15 in most states was cut off for application.

Will the new syllabus be more tough than old scheme

It's speculation, some saying core will be easier as there's less content/topics covered while others saying despite being less content it could go more in-depth. Biggest unknown is basically the ISC. ISC might throw completely new material as well as BEC stuff (speculation).
I'd get BEC done first like the guy says. BEC is also the easiest, you can do it in 3-4 weeks. Some of the BEC content goes to FAR and AUD so even if you only get BEC done this year, you'll know what some of the 2024 FAR/AUD material and some FAR/REG material goes away which means less studying.
In my opinion the exam appears to be easier (especially if you have the opportunity to finish BEC), as previous you had to know all your stuff. With 2024 the studyload for the 3 core is slightly less while you can choose which one you're best at (or more likely candidates will find out which one is easiest and exploit it).

@@sayto_00 I believe the new exam will be fairer and will definitely have less content than the current exam. So if you equate less content to study with "easier", then the new exam will definitely be easier!
