Lyrics
There'll be bluebirds over
The white cliffs of Dover,
Tomorrow, just you wait and see.
I'll never forget the people I met
braving those angry sky's
I remember well as the shadows fell
the light of hope in their eyes
and though I'm far away I still can hear them say
Sun's up
for when the dawn comes up
There'll be bluebirds over
The white cliffs of Dover,
Tomorrow, just you wait and see.
There'll be love and laughter
And peace ever after.
Tomorrow, when the world is free
The shepherd will tend his sheep.
The valley will bloom again.
And Jimmy will go to sleep
In his own little room again.
There'll be bluebirds over
The white cliffs of Dover,
Tomorrow, just you wait and see.
There'll be bluebirds over
The white cliffs of Dover,
Tomorrow, just you wait and see.
There'll be bluebirds over
The white cliffs of Dover,
Tomorrow, just you wait and see.
I'll never forget the people I met
braving those angry sky's
I remember well as the shadows fell
the light of hope in their eyes
and though I'm far away I still can hear them say
Sun's up
for when the dawn comes up
There'll be bluebirds over
The white cliffs of Dover,
Tomorrow, just you wait and see.
There'll be love and laughter
And peace ever after.
Tomorrow, when the world is free
The shepherd will tend his sheep.
The valley will bloom again.
And Jimmy will go to sleep
In his own little room again.
There'll be bluebirds over
The white cliffs of Dover,
Tomorrow, just you wait and see.
There'll be bluebirds over
The white cliffs of Dover,
Tomorrow, just you wait and see. - Hudba
This old Vet loves you all.If i was younger I would look for a girl like you
my grandma was 14 at the start of world war 2 and still loves the songs from the era. she is 95 now. well done for keeping the memories alive.
I’m glad you all still have the spirit to sing during this tragedy.
Thank you so very much for singing this song in the way that you do. It brings a melancholic nostalgic mood to me in such a way that few songs ever do. Your dress in each of your song presentations and the overall general spirit bring me to tears as I think of the World War II era. I guess I am a hopeless romantic who looks for love in the music I hear and you girls express it best. You lovingly sing immortal songs that bring meaning to life. One day I will not be here but I believe the memories that you incite will always be a reference point in time. Only handfuls of surviving veterans and their wives still live, The Greatest Generation, and they have you to appreciate as their lights flicker out one by one until they are all gone. Your efforts to preserve those precious moments in time will not fail as millions of the generations they leave behind search for meaning in life. I am only 65 going on 66 in June a little time worn and tested and my generation lacked the grace and love of generations gone on before us. I served in the US Marines during the Viet Nam era and always felt misplaced generationally as if my generation should have been fighting during World War II. Thank you for the distinct priviledge of listening to you perform and sing with period hairstyles and clothing, it brings a warmth to my soul and a soothing state of mind. I wished many of the aging veterans in our Veterans hospitals and Veterans rest homes could watch your performances as well as many of other Veterans who share generational comraderie. You girls are wonderful and in these times - miraculous. I say these things from the deepest depths of my heart. Thank you again and may God bless you and keep you safe along with the ones you love. Later!!!
Looking forward to them recording Tomorrows a lovely day
I absolutely love your singing and thank you for your dedication to never forget. Sadly we had to push the 490th Bombardment Group (H) stationed at Eye, England VE Anniversary to next year. My wife and I would love to see you lovely ladies sing in person when we're visiting next year.
Thanks you ladies. Marvelous job as always.
Another brilliant performance ladies! I am so pleased to see other like minded people who strive to keep the WWII spirit alive! Stay well.
Beautiful work! Great way to brighten up the pandemic.
A beautiful rendition of a beautiful song! You all have done Vera Lynn proud!
What an absolutely beautiful version!
I think the one in the flower print dress is beautiful. Now ladies this is what I like. Actually seeing you perform instead of a picture.
I prefer the Beauty in the middle with the white dress with flowers on it.
Lovely song and Lovely girls to sing it
