Typical British Auxiliary Operational Base, including escape tunnel.

This shows the typical lay-out of a British auxiliary operations base. Essentially, a Nissen hut on a concrete base, which was then covered over and buried. Remains of bunk beds still exist and so does the 24 metre escape tunnel, made from concrete pipe sections.
