- Dynamic potential should be one of the best parts of career mode. If a player performs well
during a season and gets plenty of playtime, his potential will increase beyond what they
start off with. It makes total sense right?
Well today I'll be looking at how Dynamic Potential
should work, finding out what causes potential growth, and finding out if it actually works at
all.
The idea behind dynamic potential is good, some players have hilariously low potential, like
how at the start of the season, Cole Palmer had just 81. If you have a good season with him,
he should be able to grow into a good Premier League player.
Thanks to dynamic potential,
you can take him even further, and a series of good seasons can mean that instead of a
good Palmer, you get an elite Palmer.
Because of his growth this year, we’ll be using Cole Palmer and his new higher potential for
our experiments today. Let’s simulate a season, then have a look at how Palmer's potential
grows.

Dynamic potential is very rough on defenders and goalkeepers, especially goalkeepers if you concede a lot of goals, even if you end up winning the match
Playing Tiki Taka will help bro. Its not as fun as Gegenpress or Wing Play you don't concede as much.
Ive signed one of those a showing great potential keepers that the game regens at the start of a new season. He went up to exciting prospect.

Yeah. The ratings do defenders and keepers dirty at the end of the match, i.e. having a 90+ defender have an average of 6 for the whole season
Unfortunately the goalkeepers are pretty trash at all in eafc24. I have a 77ovr GK in the second german division and he concedes many goals when the shot is not even in the corner at all. Most shots he stops he is also not able to catch and brings them back directly to an attacker of the opponent. I only allow about 3 shots a game for the opponent but still it's alsways 1 or 2 goals. So annoying.
@@franzburisch5280 Agreed Franz, Goalkeepers are awful this year. The only way I found to lower how much goals I concede is by holding onto the ball(Tiki Taka). Having players with Long Ball Pass/Long Ball Pass+ is really useful as it allows you to beat the CPU press by switching the ball to the free man and with a far less chance of a error too.
Manually adjusting your keepers starting position from corners with the right analogue stick works a treat too in terms of stopping headers(still have to press Y whilst the ball is in flight in most cases). But on the higher difficulties they will pass it short and try to get the cut back or finesse shot.

I was thinking the same lol his stats looked better than Ronaldo's at Man U but jokes aside very good video made a lot of good points like how form at the end of the season dictates potential which is silly. For me I just use live editor for a more realistic or just a more fun career mode where ill change their ratings and potential
EA needs to fix Career mode so it’s more intense and enjoyable. Make it more like FM, make it realistic. They need to fix the AI’s too. They should have dynamic potential too. Career mode has always been neglected and maybe just should change in EAFC 25.
FC 25 is just gonna be FC 24 with a different name with more bugs and bugs from the last 4 Fifas

I was playing a career with Augsburg and my Tanganga (CB) who has a potential of 77 is now 85. So dynamic potential sometimes workes good for cbs
because you concede so many goals. performance is more important than form
Had a youth player I wanted to slowly grow and take over from Neuer regen eventually and played him every second game his status disappeared altogether despite playing every 2nd or 3rd game and having good games when he played lol waste of time
This explains why the random CDM from New Zealand I signed as a backup whilst in the Championship ended up becoming the best CDM in the game eventually

I think that like there is dynamic potential there should be a dynamic growth based on players' prestations during career mode seasons. Also, the same way they can grow, there should also be the chance to decrease their overall if they play badly just like how it happens in real life
The potential decreases very often. I am not so good at defending and i barely get a defender above 85
Hang on, methodology concern here, I want to request that you run at least one more test.
You tested what happens when you boost the goals way up.
Then you tested what happens when you boost the match ratings way up.
But you didn't reset the goals when you boosted the match rating.
It's possible there's a cap to how much dynamic potential you can get in a season, and it's possible you hit that cap just by boosting the goals.
What happens if the goals go back to 20 and the match rating bumps to 10.0?
And What about assists

I wish players had dynamic potential in other teams. What Ea should do is give players a potential range instead of a specific potential. This way, the ovr a player reaches may be different in different saves.
This is one of the few W on career mode i love. Julien Duranville was on my BVB and he has a pot of 87 and because he had several good seasons he got to 92-93ish. Its a very enjoyable aspect of manager mode. I THINK this is also the case for academy players so even if your AP is just "has great potential" you could make them go up to "promising prospect" or "has potential to be special"
I wish players from other clubs had the same potential. I’m doing a Tenerife CD career mode and at the start I signed a young striker (Santiago Castro) and in season 8 hes 92 rated and used to have only 80 overall potential. I haven’t won the league yet because barcelona keep crushing us, yet their overall never grows past their initial potential, even if they scored like 50 goals and got the ballon d’or. It’s so frustrating as there’s not much real competition against other clubs that had way better initial teams than me but mine grew to be better just because I was managing it. EA, do this potential raise to other clubs’ players and do smth to defenters (mine are 85 and 84 rated)
dynamic potential is sometimes too op but atlest it makes it more realistic with overall. RIght now doing Roma rebuild. Pellegrini ended up first season with like 10 goals and 28 assists and his potential jumped up to 90 (84ovr/84pot on start)
There is also a random factor in dynamic potential. If you simulate the ending of a season again and again with absolutely the same stats the potential of the players varies a lot. The most important factor is the average rating. The older a player is the higher the average rating needs to be to improve his potential.
Dynamic potential always kills my youth academy players.
I’ve done 5 seasons with Notts County using only YA and regens, and I’ve had YA players with world class seasons decrease in potential. I actually haven’t gotten a single boost, except but using the loan glitch to get a guy back to his original potential status of exciting

3:15 A way to go around this (at least on the ps4 where I tried it) is to go to the player editor and raise their base overall just a little. This somehow breaks the game into going beyond their initial potential. By how much and why, I don't quite know.
how do you do that mid save?
@@umamwosaSadly, that's impossible on the ps4. However if you're interested to do it on a different save you need a:
- preferably younger player (17-25)(technically could work with a player up to 30, but for me at lest it's very rare to get the wanted results)
- their base potential to be not extremely high (max. 78) since we're gonna be raising them to the rating just above their base
- wait for the end of the first season. After that i assume the game gets confused and gives them a "new potential". It can range anywhere from returning them to their base rating (usually older players) to +0 to +7
- the more players you do this to, the more this will work
(Bonus tips)
- if ever creating a custom player for your career mode, dont ever give them the "Known as" name, as it will, come 2nd season, replace them with a regen and make the original created player and that regen unplayable (thats for other teams, if you create him in your team his rating will drop to -1 and crash your game)
- if you raise the ratings of older players, legends... They will retire later than they normally would, making the transition into regens more natural.
Whats really annoying is that when you also manage a national team, you can get a season where you have a game on the 30th of june. This means all the data of the season is not taken into account, which means everyone's potential goes down. I couldnt find a way around it

I love dynamic potential to be honest, I did a Leeds career mode with the restriction being only using the default squad and youth academy - I did 3 seasons and my Rutter went to an 88, Gray to an 87 and my Summerville was a 92, when I started a new career on a new file a few seasons later I'd noticed that Gnoto was their highest at 84, which does make it interesting! And the loan glitch is a thing, I got a 90 Gelhardt over 4 windows
Was this example Palmer's growth carried out with or without using coaches? Im trying to find where the balance is for realistic growth. I dont want my players getting +5 every season, but by the same token i dont want my young players to not develop at all.

4:00 I thought from what I’ve seen it’s only ONE time per window where you can send a performing player on loan and they’ll go up in potential and EVEN RATING sometimes +3 etc
I did a reading save since their owner didnt know how to run a club and there was a striker called Dom Ballard. He was 62 rated but was only about 18 so I kept him and in season 7 he was 90 rated and I sold him for 200M.
It really sucks if you want to make your defenders better in career mode. Their match ratings are always so much lower if you concede even 1 goal, same with the goalkeeper. I always need to loan glitch them to get any better, but they never get higher than 90.

I don't think goals scored affects defenders and CDM.
The biggest mistake i made playing United career was changing Kobie Mainoo position to CM in a 4411 where he was playing the more defensive minded role alongside Bruno. He played about 30 games a season in all competitions and averaging around 7 rating, and 3 seasons in, his rating is stuck at 78. Naturally he didn't score or assist much and i think, that was his downfall because any position above CDM requires a good amount of assists and goals to grow.
So many thing ea fc needs to add. Instead of stat allocations bring back the achievement system from fifa 18 and below, it made sure you didn’t grow too much every season and you grew based off what you did. More licensing, choosing a country not from Europe is so boring. No other competitions apart from the World Cup. Can’t they also add a story like 2k does?

I’ll tell you, it’s not existing, it’s all about player rating and has been for several years. Actually their potential will decline due to how rating has been working
Yeah it’s honestly so bad on defenders. On fifa 23 i found a way around this by fast simulating at like the 90th minute which would cause all of the player ratings to be really high. Because of this defenders had high average rating and their potential grew. This fifa it doesn’t work anymore and the potential of defenders never go up and usually go down even when they play like 40 games and play pretty good

If I have a 17 yr old with 50-60 overall but they have like 70-94 potential, how do I make it so they reach that 94, or at least 85? I can’t play them that much cause they’re so bad (I like to play most of my games), so should I just loan them until they at least 70?
Also, when’s the limit to keeping them in the academy? Sometimes some players have a potential from 65-94 but then it’s like 70-84. Does that mean they staying too long in the academy or it’s just adjusting?

Just loan them out and recap them there’s a glitch where it will increase they’re ovr other than that just adjust is training plan to your favor and sub him in cuz it will count as a game played . Goals,Assist good passing & dripping percentage matters for game performance so as long as u can get at least a good passing, dribbling percentage and maybe an assist he should get up there

Player development in Madden is so much better. And on top of it, you have the option to edit anything about any player.

once i loaned Mainoo, he had absolutely fantastic season (but not THAT great) and when he went back to Man Utd his potential was 97 idk how (I checked in Live Editor for curiosity)
I hate that all players can grow so fast and easy, it would be much better if players could have massive overall drop if they are performing bad. Overall should be much more fluent during season
Beginning of my 6th season in my St. Pauli manager career and out of nowhere my main save/backup save both crash the game while loading. It allowed me to open the autosave file and continue playing for a bit so I created a new save using that. I closed the game and now absolutely nothing works. They all crash while loading. Well played, EA. 👏

Dynamic potential has been awful for me this year, I’ve had to loan glitch players multiple times in a window just to stop them from undeservedly losing potential.Its especially bad for my defenders.
idk if its just me or what, but lets say i have a player whos like 87 rated, and lets say he underperformed, so shouldn't his rating go down? like how sancho was 87 in fifa 21 but he underperformed irl so his rating dipped to 82. Cuz there are sm players in my career mode save who dont really deliver but still, they keep growing and their value keeps increasing despite getting outperformed by lower rated players.
so does this mean players who reached their limit ovr can go beyond it? for example i had 2 saves 1 i changed mbappe to LW bcs i had cr7 as ST and mbappe's max pot reaches 95 and then stops at 96. can someone help me explain this situation?

Dynamic potential has been around since fifa 13
Potential rating is detroying everything. Why just have the overall, and this overall evolve based on the player note (with some advanced calculus considering every game performance as the note after the game, league rating, goals for ATT, pass for MID, clean sheets for DEF/GK etc..)
So you can have a player goes from 0 to -2 for the 1st half of the year but then +4 because he scores 2-3 goals each game after. Or have some Vardy, Kante stories with late career evolution, or Ben Arfa like big club buying youngster who never evolve hahaa

Take out potential. It doesn't mean anything anymore if any player can literally outgrow their potential so easily. Players should not grow more than 90 rating. And more than that only if they perform out of their mind.....
