    When Bosch sells brushed tools in a particular county they really need to sell the brushless options as well, since only entrance level brushed tools are offered for many types of tool and it’s insufficient.

    Agreed on the stacked lithium batteries. Those are very manageable and lightweight when the Ah are low but the competition just showed that once you get the technology to 5Ah the size and weight advantages are just not there anymore. Yes you get the very high discharge rate (more power) but the runtime is still 5Ah and not suitable for higher consumption tools like Angle grinders, circular saws, rotary hammers would just not get enough runtime out of it. I don't even want to imagine what the cost, size and weight would be for an 8Ah stacked lithium just to be able to have a decent runtime on those power hungry applications.
    There's a reason why the competition's most power hungry tools don't run on stacked lithium; but rather on multi voltage batteries while Bosch could skip on that by going all the way to 12Ah capacity and better cooling technology.

    I'm desperate for bosch to update the planer, the single blade brushed one just doesn't cut it. When straightening walls of planing doors it leaves bumps if you push it at even a moderate speed so i bought a makita brushless which is amazing. Doesnt feel right though as all of my tools are bosch (and I love them) except for my cordless planer and trimmer but bosch either dont have the trimmer or the planar is way behind competitors!

    • @BoschProfessionalUK
      @BoschProfessionalUK  Před rokem +1

      We (the social team), currently don't have the data to hand regarding an updated planer, but we'll pass on your concerns to the product development team who are always looking to improve and adapt on previous power tools. 👍

      Are you talking about the GSR 18V-60 C and 90 C? The 90 is essentially the same grip and weight with more features and a smaller head to get into tighter spaces.

      @@BoschProfessionalUK Fantastic news! Bosch really needs to step up with releasing new tools - many customers don't need a gazillion varieties of drills, we need a wide variety of tools. These garden tools will go down well but more broadly a portable compressor that can be used on tyres is one that's sorely missing from the Pro range, while the Green one is rubbish with an analogue gauge so no auto shut-off.

  • @julianniemeyer1655
    @julianniemeyer1655 Před rokem +2

    Does anyone actually use the C function in real life? I think using £1000 plus of phone in a dirty environment to set up a power tool is daft - even more so if you have to remove work gloves to unlock the phone and use the app. A manual control that can be used with gloves on is far better (especially in the cold). To me, Festool have got it right using Bluetooth to switch extractors.

    • @blackhazelwoods6581
      @blackhazelwoods6581 Před rokem +1

      No never. I don’t get it really. Maybe for someone who uses the tools in a workshop setting and likes messing about on the phone.

    • @BoschProfessionalUK
      @BoschProfessionalUK  Před rokem

      Most tools have manual controls on the product and the phone just provides the extra functionality when you need it. Most of the time you'll only need to set it up once for the job in question. Plus the app will work on the majority of modern smart phones, so if you're concerned about taking a £1000 phone on the jobsite, might be worth getting a cheaper backup option. Will all still work 👍

    • @feanor5037
      @feanor5037 Před rokem

      I believe can customise the physical buttons that have also been added to the C models, so you'd only need to connect once for a job - or just once for the type of job you tend to do.
      Besides, who *doesn't* have their phone with them everywhere including on job sites??

      Hi, unfortunately we can't provide specifics on when products are releasing. An 18V router IS in development and we hope to be able to talk about it soon but unfortunately we can't be definitive about timescales when so many factors go into producing our products.
