    Sir, supposing someone has his entire training outside UK and at the time of application also the doctor is working outside UK, will it be possible for him to get CESR Application success, or it is mandatory to have some UK experience. If it is mandatory, how much time do you consider to be enough?

  • @CESR-UK
    @CESR-UK  Před 4 lety +1

    Best route to apply for CESR is to work three years in the UK as this has the highest chance of success. To apply directly and get CESR is extremely rare as there are several local based protocols to complete

      if it takes 3 years isnt it better to apply for CCT as its a sure shot option to be a consultant.. Could you please comment what jobs the candidate can take up till his/her CESR is cleared and whats the level of exposure(is it a consultant level or junior level) and pay for the same??

      Sanjo Varghese - CCT takes about six to eight years and has a moderately difficult selection process. Not everyone gets in .If you have age on your side and don’t mind being re-trained it’s definitely worth it if you can do it.

      Sanjo Varghese - for CESR it’s better to work as a specialty doctor / trust registrar as it makes getting appraisals and assessments much easier.
      You can also work as a locum consultant towards the end prior to submitting your application.

    Sir the number of Audits is ONE per year ? or 1 complete Audit is enough for CESR?

  • @CESR-UK
    @CESR-UK  Před 4 lety

    By law at least a year of UK experience. Is required.
    On a practical basis applications in which the applicant has been in the UK for at least three years have a greater chance of success with CESR.

    Sir, if someone is working as a consultant outside of UK and doesn’t have any experience of training/working in the Uk can he apply for Uk jobs through this route? If not what could be the other possible routes?

    • @CESR-UK

      Yes most certainly can apply for jobs . To get CESR a minimum of at least a year experience is mandatory and at least three years is recommended.

      Yes - as long as it was in the same specialty it counts!

      Thank you Mr Krishna for clarifying. Yes the sho job was in same speciality T&O. I thought GMC only looks into registrar work and felt that we need to work as reg continuously for 6yrs before CESR application!
