For those who just have the power cord press and hold the volume up and down button and lightly untwist the back of the power cord and as you are doing it, it will say factory reset in 10 seconds. Let go of the volume buttons when the countdown is done and screw your power cord back in and you should be good to go ;)
I think my problem is i have the older one and there are no power buttons only a big plug in back and the volume controls. This stupid thing sucks. And there is basically no support for it just an endless email eddy. Anyway thanks for the video!!
i have a portal that i can not reset and i do not want to throw it away, it has my old facebook acct.and i forgot the password so i can not reset it, i am at the point where i am going to throw it away, help me please

I would hold volume buttons when I plug it in....till I see reset maybe

I bought pre own portal plus and to reset it same process except you press the + - and the same when device is turning on.
