It looks similar to tin oxide witch is a product that stone pros use to surface polish. Except most of the pros will use a variable speed angle grinder (one that can manually change speeds from 2500-10,000 rpms). Tin oxide is for the polish portion of the process. Most marble will scratch VERY easily and so to remove scratches, lower grit pads will be used to take the surface down and then slowly move up in pads to polish, finishing with the tin oxide buffing.
Just a word to the wise though, if you have never done this before, be sure to get a sample piece to practice on or pick a spot the would be covered by something before hitting highly visible areas. Any shop will tell you that they will only send their highest skilled workers out to surface polish something. It is really not something they would let a noob try without some serious practice.

    Please advise on the following:
Mask required? (If so, should I remove my pets while working with this product?)
Is one kit sufficient for a 4 ft X 2 ft Marble Table-top?
Are there ANY other required products/liquids/sealers/waxes?
Do you recommend doing any final buffing with Suede/Shami?
This project: was my Mother's Coffee Table - it means a great deal to me and I'm not in an area that I can call in a Stone Mason for professional help, it would be 75 - 100 miles - quite unaffordable for me, so please direct me to any details that would be of value.
I'm not the "average blonde-girl", I have experience with various restoration projects, but this would be my 1st with marble, and I'm a perfectionist - so as long as I have the information and necessary tools - I can be patient and take the necessary time to achieve a professional grade finish.
I just need the Expert's advise.
Please feel free to provide link and/or phone number, and I will follow-up.
    Thank you - really
    Beth

The mask is not required. The work is completely manual and some water is used.
If you want a detailed advice, you have to send me a picture of the table.
You can send it to this address at bmc@marmi-pietre.com.
Meanwhile you can look at our store stonecarediy.com.
