Very informative video for potential house owners.Few questions:
1) There are lot of administrative processes involved in buying a new construction apartment or a house like obtaining the permis of environment,planning related documents etc. Did you do these things yourself or the contractor took care of that?
2) Ing don’t given loan on A Type card. May be their mortgage policy was different when you got it.
3) Did The cost of construction 135k included the standard cost of materials too (kitchen,parquet and all the materials used in construction).If that is the case then constructing a house is better than buying any old one.
1. Apart from things mentioned you have to take care of temporary and final connections which can be hectic if you dont know dutch.
2. You have to wait a bit for commune to approve the design. Process is bit lengthy.
3. ING still gives it.. My friend got it last week itself. I think every city is different. In some cities they operate differently not sure why?
4. I never mentioned construction cost as 135k in video. I said its around 1200-1500 Euros per m2 plus 21% BTW. Constructing house and buying house is almost same depending on your criteria. But its a lengthy process. For us it took 2 years.

Thanks for the video. There are some options in which you can buy a house from a bank. Usually those houses are from loan defaulters. You have to bid on those houses. Did you look into that option? Secondly, there are some old houses which need some refurbishment and you an buy them cheap but then you have to go through refurbishment process. Did you look into this option?
Yes we did look into those. Working again in old house is again hectic process so for me building new one was easier. Also Bank option is also there but it depends if you like those houses or not as its not built as per your taste

You cam sell the house in profit for sure…. Profit is not instant… it takes time… Rent is very good option as it starts giving you instant 1200 to 1500 euros per month
