- The driver of a tractor-trailer that dangled over a Kentucky bridge is breaking her silence. Sidney Thomas tried to avoid an out-of-control pickup truck coming right at her when she crashed. The nation rejoiced at her miraculous rescue as a heroic firefighter plucked her out of the truck. The driver of the pickup that caused the accident was charged with four counts of wanton endangerment and driving with a suspended license.
The idiot who caused the accident should get tossed in prison and his license taken away for ever

@@uelld.8371 I knew a young guy who died at 22, 3 days before his Birthday which was on Christmas in 2019. He *wasn't* wearing a seat belt. He somehow managed to crash his Sedan dramatically, swerving violently at about 2:45 AM up a culvert, hitting a tree, then landing sideways with the car on fire. He probably was pushing himself too hard, fell asleep while driving, then over-corrected.

This is why I hate driving over bridges. Especially when there's a traffic jam on the bridge say the GWB between NY and NJ and there's 2 levels going in both directions. And it's full of tractor trailers. When traffic is not moving , you can literally feel the bridge go up and down. It a bit disconcerting.

I pray she gets over this to. I've been involved in bad accidents and I've gotten over it. And I hope that Sysco has a trainer ride along to see how she does. She might be nervous for a few days but I pray she gets over it

there was a parked hatchback in front of him, he swirved to avoid crashing into it which caused him to clip the semi and sending her to the side.
@@deandre1283 they need to widen up the bridge to add shoulder so they don't break down in the middle of travel lanes and cause accident like this.

I'm so happy and thankful that she was saved. God and her Angel's were definitely there with her. God Bless her! Please, please be safe on the road. If you personally don't feel safe driving please listen to your gut and stop driving the Semi. Your life is extremely precious. We could always replace a Semi, but we can never ever replace you. ❤❤❤
I recently started truck driving and actually just drove over that exact bridge the other day on my way up to Michigan, meaning this happened very soon before or after I crossed it. My stomach went into my CHEST when I saw this. I can’t even IMAGINE how terrified this poor woman was! As a fellow truck driver, my heart goes out to her ❤😢
The pickup took 3-5 business days to react to the stopped car.

The guy who hit her, their insurance hates their guts right now. They paying for the driver, the truck, and the bridge. Dude just lost their insurance.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he was driving without insurance. Someone slammed into the back of my car totaling it driving under the influence of illegal drugs and he was driving without insurance. And unfortunately my insurance company couldn't get any money from him after suing him.

And if nothing had happened at all, she would still have been graced because he saved her precautionarily. That pickup truck was trying to avoid the car that was apparently disabled on the bridge. That car started the chain reaction

That clark bridge in louisville,ky has always looked too tight & scary to me on videos. I've always been worried about attempting to ride across it. But after seeing the actions of that pickup truck driver that caused this, I WILL NEVER RIDE THE CLARK BRIDGE!! NO, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
It super narrow. The speed limit is 35. If you’re actually driving the speed limit, people go flying past you or tailgate. It’s ridiculous.

So that we can all recognize this as a miracle. Maybe satan convinced the driver of the first car to drink and drive, causing this entire NDE for the lady. But since nobody was hurt, we can all chalk it up as a learning lesson, including the hypothetical drunk driver.

If you stop the video at 0:58 you can see that the pickup truck's passenger tire is bent inwards while the driver side tire is straight. It looks like the pickup truck hit the car that was stopped in the righthand lane and broke it's tie rod forcing it to the left, which hit the truck's driver side wheel and broke its tie rod causing it to drive to the left and over the bridge.
God works in mysterious ways and his angels held that rig in place. Thank goodness for your patience to hold on and the dating rescue of the responder.... ❤❤

i have so many question on that dashcam footage, the pickup that swerve to the opposite lane because it hits a parked nissan altima that parked on a bike lane? and there's like 3 cars that also stopped or parked on the bike lane a few meters behind the altima? i am very confused on everything

Where did that pick up come from? I watched the dashcam video over and over again and that pick up truck literally came out of nowhere!
Looks like he was ass close to that truck while driving between lanes. That and the truck he was tailgating had higher clearance so it made it even more difficult to see it. He then tried avoiding the car parked in his right lane before over correcting and hitting the semi

The one thing i absolutely love about the louisville, ky metro though: 3 toll bridges (I-65/JFK & Abraham Lincoln And I-265/Lewis & Clark) & 2 free bridges (I-64 double decker/Sherman Minton & US 31/Clark/2nd Street Bridge). That part is cool!!
