Well back then “getting turned on” wasn’t always sexual it meant getting excited so I’m pretty sure that’s what he meant :)
Bob Ross is such a calming presence. It seems like he’s talking to you, and it’s really special. He sounds so calming, like he’s there during all your worst moments. In a sense, Bob Ross is just like this painting of his. Gorgeous.

I got into painting like this just a few days ago. The first thing I did with following the tutorials was a square canvas with four like... 10x10cm? 12x12cm? smaller square pictures on it. Each one from a different tutorial. And even tho they're so small I spent much more time on each of them 'cuz I was keep pausing, rewinding, looking for the right mix of the colors, drying my brushes, etc.
They may be just happy little accidents with way less details but apparently they're enough for others to say "Wow :0" xD

I tried this with water color, and this is my first time painting ANYTHING, and it turned out absolutely marvelous! I was stunned. I wish I could thank Bob for making me find another hobby that I love.

I have a task for my art class to do a copy of a painting from any artist, so i tried doing this today on regular A5 painting paper with no titanium white, some tempera and a couple of crappy brushes... I swear to god i tried my best.
