So by using a lathe, instead of a band saw, to cut out a "circle" shaped piece of wood? Was more effective and effecient?! Not to me! It was a waist of time in using the lathe for that! When a band saw could've done that same cut. It's like using a shot gun, instead of a fly swater to swat a fly OVERKILL

Relax. I've worked for shops that require uniforms with sleeves. Just don't be an idiot and you'll be fine. A grown man can decide when its time to roll them up or not without your protection.
@@phuckyocouch9098 have you seen that video that was going around in reverse of a human re-coagulating back to life next to an industrial lathe from small pieces scattered through the shop? No sleeves around equipment like this is pretty baseline o.p.

Wow. He turned a square piece of plywood into a round piece of plywood......with a hole in the middle.....with a $5,000 piece of equipment that required all the skill of using a TV remote control.
I love how we’ve become, so technologically advanced that 3 minutes, a hole saw, and a router jig can be more efficiently replaced by a lathe and 15 minutes of pure danger.
This reminds me of that Loony Toons episode where (I think) Bugs turns an entire tree to make a single toothpick.
LOL
I was thinking the same thing czcams.com/video/vh7DQZ4ukxg/video.html
Opps, this one too 😂 czcams.com/video/Jn4k2TPIJf0/video.html
Lol I remember that one
It was tiny toon adventures. Montana Max....... Why do I remember that? Can't remember the lock box code in the shed.... Remember that
At least 55% was wasted and no result was shown. Pretty bold. I’ll give that to you.
Not to mention using a machining lathe, lame.

@@luistrevino5959 so, a center circle without a cut line thru the wood, on a bandsaw? I've never seen a blade come apart. How's that work?
@@Gary-uy9mr you wouldn't need the center circle if you just used the band saw is what they are saying
@Michael Yates he didn't need the center circle to mount it on the lathe, he did the center circle on the lathe. So it was just part of the process.
Great, you made a circle with a hole in it. you are nothing short of amazing!
The simplest things in life are the best. Next week he makes a hole with no wood surrounding it.
Plywood donuts now on sale.
Loved the part they showed the finished product
90% I have noticed of theses shorts are the same 🙄

The equivalent of chopping down a tree to make a single toothpick.
Rule 1 , no sleeves on the lathe
Relax. I've worked for shops that require uniforms with sleeves. Just don't be an idiot and you'll be fine. A grown man can decide when its time to roll them up or not without your protection.
Sleeves are okay if they fit correctly and you don’t put your hands where you won’t put your d*ck.
I’m a metal machinist and use lathes every day

Be Bold: Avoid the safer bandsaw + router option
I guess you don’t have a drill press and a band saw?
Even just cutting the 4 corners off first would save a chunk of time...
😂
Or you can just use one tool, the lathe…
Guess they don't know the difference between a wood lathe and a metal lathe. Don't want to keep that arm either. Long loose sleeves are a NO GO!
A hole saw and band saw would make less sawdust.
I need this wood chipper for my garden.

Complimenti per la sicurezza. Un tornio dove l'operatore può mettere le mani. 😮😮Kudos to the security. A lathe where the operator can put his hands.
but that's not a wood lathe
Exactly. And I can't tell what it was going to be.
My first thought
Where's the "crafting" in craftsman? A CNC Metal lathe for wood bowl? You would have to sell half million bowls to pay for the tools!
That's OK. He's obviously not a wood worker either.
Reminds me of the saying to make small fortune in investment you need to start with a large one!
New channel idea: making sick beats from wood turning
I expected it to end up as a toothpick, like in a Looney Tunes.
So I take it the idea is how can you use your lathe when your router is broken?
Long sleeves near any lathe or mill is always a bad idea
That turned out to be a dope beat.
Yeah wtf!
Amigo, el tiempo de torno es más costoso que el de una sierra o tuteadora......
That could of been a badass sound effect for a song
Just a bit of advice. Take the sleeves off. Seen pretty bad stuff happen
He'll probably put gloves on next.

Might want to roll your sleeves up 🙋♂️🤦♂️
Wow. That idea was extremely bold.
Finally learned how to make a circle. I now have nothing left to learn.
Sounds like a soundtrack.. :)

I like to listen the song that it makes
Long sleeves and lathes love one another.

That plate has a hole in it
a disc of wood with a hole in the middle WOW!
ppl are not informed, this is a sawdust maker 2000.
The sound that lathe made, had me thinking it was gonna have the sickest drop.
When trimming the edge, it sounds like a techno track building up to the drop 🕺

Wow, pressure padding.
Never seen a wood lathe like this one.
looks good,thanks
Brendanlmao is doing wood working now.
I’m still waiting on the “bold” part.
I think he's patching a wall by adding a glory hole
That sound it's making on the last spin makes me think a sick ass beat drop was coming. 😅
I was waiting for the beat to drop 😆
Brave having long sleeves on.
I was waiting for the bass drop!
If you run it backwards does it play Judas Priest?
I was waiting for the base drop for a minute

What are you making?
He's making the most complicated of shapes. A circle. And sawdust. And wasting our time for engagement.
Waiting for the beat to drop 😂

Wow you tuned a square into a circle! Amazazing!
Long sleeves, and sanding/polishing while running 🤦🏽♂️ I see a 4 finger hand in this man’s future.
Take a cylindrical tree, cut it down to squares, then grind the squares into round disks. Got it.
I’m amazed at the courage….😂
Wearing a long sleeve jacket is a dangerous act when running a lathe.
Hevy Wood westage.
I was excpecting techno music with this wood cutting sound.
When you are utterly bored so you turn simple task into unnecessarily complicated method😂😂😂😂😂
You must hear that machine music in your sleep
Good job❤❤❤

Congratulations, you made a circle
I thought you are making a toothpick, thank goodness it's a plate.
Uhm Ya, that's not a,
"wood lathe", that's a metal turning lathe 😂 , wood lathe's don't have a live center, or a tool post on it 😂 😂 ! !
