On arriving at the meeting, the twenty-seven greeted Volodymyr Zelensky, who, according to the footage, received applause from almost everyone, with Viktor Orbán being one of the very few exceptions (Romanian President Klaus Iohannis was all smiles, and didn't clap, although according to Transtelex this could be due to his notoriously slow reaction time, as the Romanian press regularly refers to him as a man of delayed reactions.)
Volodymyr Zelensky was positioned almost exactly in front of the Hungarian Prime Minister for the group photo.
Some of the topics of the summit include EU measures in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. EU foreign policy, including sanctions, is decided by unanimity. As it prepares to join the EU, Ukraine will need the joint support of the 27 member states on several occasions in the future. One of the obstacles to this could be the country's minority law adopted in December, with which neither the Romanian government, nor the Hungarian, is satisfied.

Imagine you are scottish and you are beaten by english nationalist until you bleed if you utter galeic words in your town or put scottish flag onto your house. Imagine after 10 years of age you are not allowed to learn in school in your own language or speak of such language.
That is exactly what happened to Hungarians living in western ukraine. And it happens to Russians and Romanians, as well, all minorities.
(I live 50 miles from the Ukrainian border and I am Hungarian, there are approx 100 000 Hungarians living there they were cut from the mother country in 1920 by the treaty of trianon, if you utter Hungarian words there you are beaten by ukrainian nationalists, in school you are not allowed to use your own language, etc but you in the western media bubble do not hear of this.
The EU did nothing to force Ukraine to respect the Minsk agreement and minority rights and does nothing for the diplomatic solution. so pin the ukrainian flag onto your shirt and enjoy the western style of living while it lasts.
Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries, Zelensky too he has multi million euro palace in Tuscana Italy, he has had it even before he became president, where you think he got that money?
Last november a friend of mine organised a van of food and sanitary goods to send to ukraine to help people. The van was stopped by Ukrainian border guards and the material was confiscated and sold on the black market. Most of weapons sent there are sold to militant groups, from top to bottom corruption is everywhere.
The endless money and weapons is a waste, even if they were kept and used there will be soon no people,soldiers to use it to fight. Ukraine is in ruins people fled, most of them are in war shock, country is mentally and physically in ruins but Zelensky still wants to continue. More than 200 billion USD worth of money and weapons has been sent to Ukraine and what is the result? At best situation is same as in last February. While people in Syria and Turkey suffer due to the earthquake, iamgine thes much help what it cab do there. Ukraine cannot win but even if they won what remains of Ukraine and people? And Europe will pay the cost of rebuilding, using your money. But you go for strike because of the so called ‘cost of living crisis’, well this is nothing yet. So be happy pin the ukrainian flag onto your shirt and enjoy the western style of living while it lasts. Ultimately you will pay for this war as you are paying now. The winners are China and USA.
Wow, I really don't know, but Putin, who is called the richest man in the world by Musk, will be happy to pay for your publicity. There are not many people who can support Russia to blow up Ukrainian babies and pregnant women these days, except for Russian human trumpets. It's ok bro, I sympathize completely as an American. We're going to elect Trump again. Americans are pretty damn dumb and the right is literally going full Himmler by trying to claim that fascism itself is left-wing and every ideology but theirs is evil (so literally fascism). Hungary is a beautiful country that I'm coming to like a lot. Any country that centers its cuisine around paprika/hot peppers is a place I want to go to, let alone the architecture, natural beauty, and crazy language. I used to think I wanted to go to Western Europe (and I still do), but now I really want to see places like Hungary which are hidden gems.
