Hello Ed! Do we need to round our lips (the way we do to produce \w\) to produce the
    \ sound?

    R!!! That’s very difficult for me. 😭

So its like a rolled r but the tongue isnt that far behind in the mouth, its like behind the teeth, innit? I used to pronounce the r sound like a rounded w but with a tiny little bit of rhoticity but turns out, i dont have to do that

    • @LeanEnglishPronunciation

The /r/ sound is produced with the tongue positioned just behind the alveolar ridge, it doesn't touch any other parts of the mouth, the lips should be relaxed.

thanks for the video! Is Intrusive R really common among SSB English speakers? Is considered standard?

    • @LeanEnglishPronunciation

You're welcome! Yes, the intrusive R is considered a standard feature of almost all English accents
