But his ramp-jumping skills completely made up for it.

Between Laurie getting the true ramp, Adam getting up on the platform, Dom actually lapping Sully, and Sully doing the unthinkable at the end, I cannot decide which insane moment from this episode was my favorite. But goodness, what an episode!

It's amazing how when Adam found himself falling behind in the race to not play Monopoly, suddenly he has discovered a bunch of games that are short enough to justify multiple playthroughs each! :)
Honestly I think he should have to play however many games of monopoly and win until he reaches his total, or there’s going to be a tsuro situation all through December where every game is everyone playing against Adam first before playing for themselves. I also think that latter would have a hilarious twist if those same players had to play monopoly with Adam as a result.

I've lost count of how much money this channel has cost me in purchases so far lol. My family absolutely loved Muffin Time. I've never heard so many giggles from a 56 year old woman as she reads a particularly evil card she just picked up.

For someone so late to the game, that final shot from Dom was incredible.
You're really only supposed to be able to jump 2 track pieces when going offroad, but hey if you're having fun and everyone agrees to it, go for it!
It is not a good sign that the best part of the game is to skip playing as much of it as possible.
I was wondering at the end what was stopping Sully from trying to jump across to that bit right before the end of the track.

I don’t think 46:40 got the laughs it deserved. Maybe it was the camera angle the audience got but I rewatched that 5 times! This whole episode was so unexpectedly hysterical!

I'd love to see this where half the people go one direction and half go the other way. Would be a good base for a "House Rules" video, I think.
Maybe add having to use something other than your finger as the flicker. Like a rubber band, or a spoon or something.
Then throw in hazards such as sand or oil to make the movement less predictable.
This would make an amazing House Rules video!!

After seeing the explanation of the game, I wasn't sure about this one, but as it turns out, NRB is one of those channels where I'd watch you all read the phone book because your chemistry is always entertaining 😀

Great video as always, for anyone playing a couple of rules clarifications: 1) can only skip up to 2 sections of track (otherwise back to where you flicked from) 2) can shift your car the thickness of a disk (rather than the width of a disk)

I loved when everyone started saying "true ramp" like when kids would make up shortcuts etc that wasn't cheating because that was the "real" way to do it.
The record scratch to stop the music when Sully was going for the ramp had me dying. 🤣🤣
Clearly, Dom had begun the psychological race long before cameras rolled on this episode. He toyed with the lot of you for a while, then unleased his fury in another soul-inspiring bout of good sportsmanship. :D
But seriously, ladies and rampjumpers (not you Adam and Sully), Board Game Club and NRB simply get better with every new episode. PItchcar is, by nature, always going to have some laughs in it, but it's the chemistry of the NRB team -- with new recruit Izzy on board now! -- that make YOUR playthroughs so entertaining and worth multiple viewings. All the inside jokes, the personalities, the grudges make BGC so fun in a *branded* way that keeps what small amount of money I scrape together worth transferring to your Patreon. @@itsGabrielaCristina Exactly. Like I love every episode but when he was gone for a while I was worried and bummed. They are all fantastic but John, Sully and Adam together just create joy it seems.
Truly Jon is just the best :) I always look for him whenever there's a video, and even though I enjoy every episode he just makes everything better. He's had a lot going on this year between getting married in Australia and then doing the fringe with Sully and Rosie, but hopefully he'll be able to be on more episodes now!

I'm so grateful for all of you and if you don't mind relaying this message to the others I'd really appreciate it. So over the past year or so I developed a cataract in my one good eye so I haven't been able to play board games because I can't see well enough, play video games, ride my motorcycle, do woodworking or really anything I used to enjoy. I've got a surgery finally here eventually but my God... I have been so so so so so thankful to you all for your videos. Thanks to you not being able to play has been a lot easier to deal with because I get to enjoy watching you all play games that I'm interested in, own, or have never heard of. Being able to live vicariously through you all has made this last year more bearable. Thank you Jon and the rest of the NRB family. Hope you and the rest all have a lovely lovely day.

That moment with Laurie COMPLETELY skipping the ramp was glorious.

NRB presents " Jon and Dom: the fast and the gracious"
The way we play it, which I think is much better, is with these 2 changes:
- Without the "upside-down car loses a turn" rule (it's kind of just random, and usually just happens because of the boards being warped and the attachment of 2 pieces of track not lining up, not because of skill)
- We add a knock-off rule: if you knock an opponent's piece off and you're still on the track, the opponent goes back to where YOU started. It means you sometimes don't have the stuck problems you guys were having and also makes for some really cool shots sometimes where you move the racer in the lead way back

Sometimes it's the dirt simple concepts that are the most fun and give room for the biggest characters. Bravo folks, that was a fun watch.
That opening intro segment looked like an indie band photo, so from left to right:

Surprised no one took the true ramp on the final track of an immediate left, thus skipping nearly the entire track off of one jump.

This is gonna sound very depressing but I promise it ends well. I lost most of my family a few years ago due to social reason, we don't really talk. So my house is empty almost every night. You all have given me another family. I'll turn the sound down, and put on a distance filter so it sounds like you're playing in the other room, and it really helps me get to sleep. I love how happy y'all are and how much joy you bring, and thank you for giving me that same sense.

I literally just got into Formula 1 this season via a friend (specifically the Silverstone race. Interesting one, that), so the F1 reference at the start was much appreciated.
Everyone humming The Chain, which hasn't been the F1 music for about a decade at this point, at the end, really made this for me 😂

Why is this so exciting and fun to watch!?
Hilarious. With the right crew, and a beer in hand, this game looks like the absolute most fun you can have.
1.) I think I'd need to house-rule something to get around the fact that you can get absolutely STUCK behind someone. Maybe if everyone agrees that someone is completely blocking your way, you can move their piece out of the way for your flick. Alternately, you COULd use croquet rules and say that if you bump into another player piece, you get another hit (but only once per player piece per turn, so you can't keep hitting the same player over and over).
2.) I think the game could probably also use a rule, like "The person in last place gets two-flicks, unless they pass someone after their first flick."
3.) Someone mentioned that you can't jump over more than two track pieces ahead, so that fixes the game-destroying "jump across the entire board" moves that made me wonder if you could just shoot the piece backwards after your first flick, then cross the finish line on your third flick to win.
I need about 1000 more videos of this game, I have never been more delighted

I really, really don't like Pitchcar. But this was a gem of a video, an absolute riot.
Did not think I would enjoy since this is so different than usual BGC favorites but honestly all of y'all are hilarious and had so much fun and I had a huge smile on my face the whole time. 💗💗 This is why I watch all BGC videos no matter what they're about.
