Brian can you please share which is the slimmest out of the Sheath and the Synthesis and which one do you prefer overall?
The sheath is the 3rd case I ordered for my 15 pro. Had one for my 14 pro in green and I must say it’s one of the best cases when it comes to not showing wear and tear over time. Even after drops id pick it up and not know which side it landed on. Impressive stuff. Can’t wait for that gorgeous celestial blue to arrive.
The sheath is so good! And this year the synthesis is really good too.
@@Brians_tech I actually like the extra protection the synthesis provides it’s just the asymmetrical camera ring that makes it a no go for me 🤷♂️ and I wish they’d add the grips on the side of the synthesis to the sheath as well

Great video, Brian! The Sheath is the best out there…I have been using it on my 13 ProMax for a couple of years and it is by far the best case I have ever used on a phone!

Love the sheath! The bottom cutouts are off centered on mine as well, might be because of the new mircrofiber lining? throws it off by .5 - 1 mm, who knows.

@@Brians_tech Seriously it’s like I’ve seen so many tech videos on phones and cases and none of them hardly mention how it feels in the hand especially holding it with your pinkie which like 99% of people do on a daily basis so I so appreciate it when you mentioned it, I was debating on this case and an Otterbox Defender and they both are great but I gotta give the win to the sheath due to it just having more style and better grip honestly.
@@Brians_tech I got my sheath today and it’s pretty awesome, however it is doing what I anticipated it would, it is hurting my pinky finger which is a bummer, I didn’t think it would, I’m gonna give it some time to see if I can adjust to it, using silicone cases for some time has made me adjusted to that type of material, so we’ll see how it goes.
Best all around phone case forever.

It looks great but the real question is how does it perform when you begin to drop it? Is the front liable to be cracked?
It offers some good drop protection. 6.6 feet. The sheath is great for protection and it looks great.

Between the Sheath and the Synthesis, which one has more lip protection? Especially on the camera.
I’d say they’re about the same.
Are you having the Benks screen protector on the phone with the Sheath case? If yes, it interfering with the case? Is border edges coming off on the display?
I’ve used Benks, Spigen, and Torras screen protectors with it and the sheath doesn’t affect them at all. No issues with the edges coming off the display at all.

Yes, the older version did. Caudabe just refined it and if you order one, you should be getting the new one that doesn’t do it.
Now I see that Benks screen protector 😂 My eagle eye noticed immediately, that there was no Benks screen protector on previous “wrong” video u uploaded yesterday 😂

Is it lighter than apple silicone case? I ordered the sheath and synthesis to try out for my 15 pro max. Currently using apple silicone case but it makes the phone a bit heavy.
I’m not sure if it’s lighter or not, but it’s WAY better than the apple silicone case. I’d take a sheath or synthesis over apple silicone any day.
More rubber feeling grip than apple silicone case?
It’s SOOO important this thing about how much they weight, especially considering how big and heavy iPhone PMs are. Now that Apple shaved 19 grams from 15PM compared to previous 2 generations, you don’t wanna lose that putting a heavy case on it!

They are both heavier then the silicon case not by much but still heavier

Yeah it’s good for drop protection. If you want even more drop protection, I would say go for the phone rebel gen 5. I made a video on that case and the frosted version.

It will hold, depending on your mount. I use a Pitaka car mount and it holds perfectly.

I’d say they’re very close. Sheath might be a hair thicker but a much, much better case.

No this is a bit more of a rough grip. The silicone case is super smooth but it’s silicone so it has the grip. This one is very grippy but not a silicone material.
what screen protector are you using?
In this video, I believe it was the Spigen tempered glass screen protector.

Not really on here yet but I know it’s an issue. They have fixed it and worked on the buttons too. I’d imagine they are already shipping the new cases out when you order one.

Brian and anyone else, does your Sheath have the known MagSafe indentation ring issue on the back?
Mine is barely visible, but they have made corrections to that, and the buttons, and are now being shipped I believe.

I know you run this case as your daily. Do you charge using MagSafe and other MagSafe accessories and if so does the indentation get worse?
Curious thinness is huge for me, what is the thinnest and lightest between pitaka mag ez pro4, benks armor pro, and phone rebel
I’d say either Benks Pro or Pitaka Pro. Benks pro feels a little slimmer but is more slippery. If you want really slim, do the Benks Armor Air. I have a discount code for their website you can use.

For me it looks a little bit cheap for 39 dollars. I don’t get the hype around this case. Is it really that good? Whyyyy?
It's not cheap at all lol. It fits great, has great magsafe, great protection (for it's class of case), and feels good. Has good grip, etc. This case literally checks all of the boxes. If you watch my top 10 video, I show off my 10 favorite cases and the sheath is definitely on there.

No, not at all.

Have you tried the Caudabe Crystal Shield tempered glass?
@kennardi09 the Benks screen protector held up well over time. It got peeled up by a case yesterday, but not from caudabe’s cases. And I haven’t tried the Caudabe crystal shield yet, but I may have to check it out!

Nope just some shock absorbing tpu. But it won’t scratch the sides of your phone up or anything.

@@Brians_tech how about compared to ESR cloud? I wanted Andar but I’d need to wait for the revised model with the action button. Mujjo would have been perfect but I’ve been reading on Reddit that its MagSafe is on the weaker side.
It'll never mount to a motorcycle eh? Unfortunately only peak design and quadlock can do... And neither of those are very drop protected... Annoying how no products can do it all.
This is the iPhone of cases. Just a winning recipe that keeps going. Very little that can be done to further improve or change it.
Oh absolutely! If you haven’t seen my top 10 cases video, it’s up there. And caudabe is currently working on refining the sheath even more so it’s even better than it already is!

I handled a family members Sheath recently. It felt nice, but I was still set on the Synthesis. At this point, the only reason I’d exchange it for the Sheath is the Sheath has a softer feel to it overall. Additionally, the Sheath has a similar form factor to the Apple Silicone case. I used to run Apple Silicone cases regularly and use the dimensions and form factor to compare to other cases.
Ringke Onyx is very similar but slightly better and $24 on Amazon
I disagree. I made a video on both cases. The sheath is a better case in my opinion.
Does the Sheath have similar grip and texture to the Onyx?
Onyx: I prefer the flatter sides and cover extension around the lenses
Sheath: thicker, grippier texture

invisible screen lip protection..
I wouldn't say it's invisible. Don't forget: I'm using a tempered glass screen protector and there's still a bit of a screen lip. It'll definitely protect the screen.
