Sheath or Synthesis? I bought both because I want to try which one is better to use as daily for my ip14 pro, so this is my rating DESIGN :- Sheath 9.5/10 - the line from side to back camera is damn nice and minimalist, give me pokeball vibe. - the shape follow exactly sharp edge of iphone Synthesis 9/10 - the side 3D dot is quite noticeable but still acceptable, back camera design is quite nice but too simple - a bit curve, it give a ipx/xs vibes, but still feel edges. COLOR :- Sheath 9.5/10 - both are grey color not totally black, but the color of sheath a bit darker compare to synthesis, I guess due to different material. Synthesis 9/10 - a bit brighter but still dark, the back material a bit shiny especially in wet condition. SMELL :- - both damn smell so good, smell like new car to me lol FRONT FRAME / LIPS :- Sheath 10/10 - smooth flat material Synthesis 9/10 - same material as the case, a bit rough. SIDE GRIP :- Sheath 9/10 - grippy feels but not close to synthesis Synthesis 10/10 - Super grip, 3D dot feels good on my hand, but noticeable especially when Im plaing a game in landscape mode. BACK GRIP :- Sheath 10/10 - more grippy compare to synthesis Synthesis - still nice to touch but not grippy compare to sheath, feels more like plastic to me ONE HANDED TYPING :- - Both are good BUTTON :- Both will give you same clicky button, but for both, the volume up button a bit hard to click compare to volume down. Lock button just nice for both MATERIAL :- Honestly I like material on sheath more becaue it feel like rubbery compare to synthesis feels more hard case. and the most important is, both are not fingerprint magnet. MAGESAFE MAGNET :- Sheath 9/10 Synthesis 10/10 DIMENSION :- Sheath - thin on the side, a bit thick at the back Synthesis - a bit thick from the side, but thin at the back FOR GAMING :- Sheath is better I hate to say this, but for me, I like Sheath more, but still love the synthesis especially on 3D dot on the side. Deal breaker :- Sheath - Material & design Synthesis - 3D dot on the side & strong magsafe
Something I like about the sheath is the great handling that most other cases lack. It fits really nice in the hand. And another thing I think you should mention in your videos is how good the handling is for the cases especially in one handed use.
I bought both, you’re Exactly right- they’re both top of the top. The synthesis is much more prone to scratching on the back…. Nothing major, just subtle scratching I could see after 1 day. After years of sheath, they never show wear- very durable. My choice as well. Looking forward to your Smartish review- see how it stacks too these two!
Good review, but just a suggestion cuz I don’t see many case reviewers talk about, u can talk about how grippy they are on a surface for the people who leave their phones out
I had to return the stealth because the camera lip is not tight with the camera. This makes most MagSafe accessories don’t mount. Just look the clearance from the puck. I went with MOUS. Much better.
I got the Synthesis case for my 14 pro max. Yes, it's a class case. The feel is great. Very thin, but good protection. Also, the camera cut out is really cool vs the Sheath. The Sheath cut out for the camera looks like all other cases .(cookie cutter look) Also, got the mag wallet from Peak design. Holds up to 7 cards, very sturdy magnet, and looks very classy on the Synthesis. Awesome look together! Have fun everyone!
I always thought you needed a felt lining but with the materials Caudabe uses you don’t. If you’re worried that the back of your iPhone will get scratched it won’t happen. Plus having a felt lining will add more weight and more bulk from front to back.
I have the iPhone 12 and I have like 40 cases lol and I finally decided to buy the caudabe brand since everyone talking about it and I bought both cases seath and synthesis and for some reason I like more the synthesis more slim and the back is hard plastic which I love. The seath is more bulky I didn’t like it that much 😢 just my opinion

Hey, so as you said, the synthesis has the hard plastic on the back. Is the sheath rough? I want a rough case over a plastic one. It's the only thing keeping me from buying the synthesis. The sheath is rough on the back right?
Is it just me but the grip yes it’s rough, but still slippery though. I bought for that reason but the apple case has way better grip. Just hate how they say the grip is crazy. It’s ok. You put this case on a table and it’s sliding or at an angle it’s sliding off that won’t happen with an apple case and otterbox defender series. Another sleeper is the Zagg Denali case to me is the best!! Feel like not enough reviews on that case. And I bought the sheath case and just went back to my Denali case.

Is it normal for the Sheath to have a cut line going around half the back side of the phone along the edge? Seems like thats where the material was cut but I never had that on my previous Sheath from 2019.
You’re talking about the line that is cut in across the top and sides of the case? If that’s what you’re referring to, then yes, it’s normal. They did that design on the 13 Pro version last year as well.
I personally haven’t really used a lot of clear cases yet, but I would have to say at the moment it’s from the company Smartish with the Gripmunk MagSafe case - Nothin To Hide
@@RoyFlorez Nice, what ever wins between the caudabe sheath and the symmetry+ is the one I think I'll get. Need moderate drop protection and strong magnets while being slim, hence these 2 options.
I bought the Otterbox symmetry+ before I knew anything about the Caudabe brand. I decided to try a Sheath which arrived a couple days ago and I immediately returned the Otterbox. Nothing wrong with it, I just prefer the sleeker look and slightly less bulk of the Sheath. I also find it grippier than the symmetry+. It’s not night and day, but the Sheath just feels better in my hand. I would be happy with either but prefer the Sheath.
@@RoyFlorez See, that's where I am confused too. I felt like the Synthesis was the more "rugged" one due the material used, however, I have seen that people cannot really differentiate the thickness between the two. It seems that they just use different styles, but is that really it?
@@iphone_watcher289 I would say the Synthesis is the more “rugged” of the two just due to the more rigged design in materials. It’s “harder” and does feel like it would protect it more but it’s very slim at the same time.
Not sure how strong MagSafe is. I can tell you this for a fact, if the The camera lens protector on the bottom Hass to be flush with the case in order for mag safe to connect properly. That is not the case no pun intended with these
Maybe I’m going crazy but I feel like I did talk about the grip. If you care to know I think the Synthesis has grippier sides but the Sheath has a better grip on the back. Overall, I would say the Sheath has better grip in general since the sides are also grippy.
Synthesis looks just like the ESR Silicone, which looks just like those alibaba no brand cases with “camera guard” written I the slope of the camera lip lmao
