Opie was with Sandy Delgado (Rick's sister) for ~6 years -- 1998 to 2004, basically right up till the XM contract -- and Opie now refers to the 2002-to-2004 years as "the time (Ant + I) were trying to get our chemistry back, we hired Jim Norton to help our chemistry" -- not a huge stretch to surmise that Opie vented to Sandy about how pissed he was (at Ant, at everyone), and, during or post-breakup, Sandy spilled her guts to her brother Rick. I believe him.

Oh nice, thanks for the speedy response. Anyway, like one of his videos he posted? If that's true I'd have to see the situation. Most of us regular joe's would get fired if we shit talked our boss' and were acting in a way that could hinder the product that's being sold. That's life, I don't see how radio is magically different.

I remember hearing Stalker Patty on the show having fun and being genuinely entertaining and Opie stopping the train and telling her to shut up and she's not a part of the show. Patty was more entertaining than Opine. At least she was humble and took the blows like a champ.

Del Gado is pretty spot on if you read the interview, other than the part where he says Anthony and Jim can't work together, they have great chemistry and are both hilarious.
The greatest story that came out of that "Chauncey Haden" interview with Opie and Anthony back in the day was that after the interview Opie called Chauncey Haden and told him that he was in fact the one who came up with "WOW" not him and Anthony.

I wasn’t a fan back during the days when the show was on the air, but I can’t imagine there weren’t fans who had him pegged as a narcissistic weirdo early on. You listen to the stuff from right after Ant gets fired, a lot of people are all shocked at what comes out. But listening to this stuff where he goes in on people, some of the stuff he says requires a real lack of self awareness, among other nasty traits.
People didn't like Anthony because he wasn't confrontational, they liked him because he was fucking hysterical.
At the time they are talking about Chauncey Hayden he was banned from Stern for bashing Beth O in an article Howard wanted to kill the guy Howard even made it that if Chauncey mentioned Howard's name in media he'd be sued
Between opie and Chauncey, opie is a saint. Chauncey is, by ALL accounts, the definition of a vulture. He's worse than any tmz or national enquirer contributor at their worst. A Lyme disease riddled TICK nestled in the hairy taint of journalism. And he had his hairplugs done by a garbage man (self claimed story told on stern)
