PARADISE Beach Hiriketiya - Relaxing & Food, Dikwella, Ella Vlog | SRI LANKA SERIES

We made it to the southern coast of Sri Lanka to chill on the beautiful beaches of Hiriketiya & enjoy the perfect weather. Hiriketiya Beach is the main attraction, with its crescent-shaped bay with golden sand and turquoise waters. It’s somewhat of a hidden gem but known for its consistent waves, making it a great spot for both beginners and experienced surfers.
We enjoyed the local Sri Lankan cuisine, with many restaurants and cafes offering fresh seafood, tropical fruits & shakes. We also explored the nearby beach Dikwella, which is much bigger in size and seems a bit more rugged in comparison.
In the 2nd part of the video we are looking back at our time in Ella: Hiking Ella Rock, Rainstorm, Monkeys & Priya’s Cooking Class.
The atmosphere in Hiriketiya is relaxed and laid-back, making it a perfect destination for those seeking a tranquil beach retreat or wanting to learn to surf. I think you have reordered this video a few months ago. December to April is the best time to visit south coast of Sri Lanka. (But 2023 December we had lot of rain because of a cyclone) If you visit the south coast in the offseason the beaches will be rough and windy, and the weather is not ideal but nevertheless still you can have a great time there.

Our favorite holiday destination. every December. December 2023 both Hiriketiya and Dikwella Beach were packed with tourists. Dikwella Beach was the spot to watch the sunset. Smoke & Bitters (Asia's Top 50 Bar) is located next to Dikwella Beach. A must-try.
